Chinese ownership of American farmland came under increased scrutiny at both the national and local level after the Fufeng Group, producer of the flavor enhancer MSG, announced in November 2021 its intentions to invest near Grand Forks, North Dakota. Despite promises to improve the local economy, opposition emerged over the company’s Chinese origin, and its plans to build a facility near a U.S. Air Force base.

If you are asking about ‘The China Project’, it is is an independent New York-based publication covering China in-depth for Western audiences. They strive to maintain ‘balanced’ reporting on US-China issues and have hence been called by hardliners in either side as being in cahoots with the other.

Unfortuanately, they have announced that they are shutting down due to a lack of funding https://kbin.social/m/journalism/t/605464/The-China-Project-media-company-shuts-due-to-funding-problem

Thank you. It was hard to find a spin on the few articles I read, but it was plain to see that every article was about China. I didn’t know what to make of it. I guess if they are not getting enough funding they probably were not taking a side then. Too bad.
