In the few short hours since I started using #Threads, #DuckDuckGo has already blocked over 200 data tracking attempts. These include things like “headphone status” and “screen density.”

A year ago or so when I wanted to check what Facebook had on me, so I requested my data. The document I got from them also included what apps I used at what times. I don’t mean Facebook apps, I saw at what times I used apps such as Discord and countless other apps I have on my phone.

I am guessing Google has given Facebook special permissions to access more features and data on user devices without prompting too. An average app developer has to ask for each and every permission, but Facebook can afford to pay Google for some questionable deals regarding privacy.

Actually, apps can check how many times other apps have been opened without any special permission. You can create a Work Profile with applications like Shelter and install all of these spyware there!
