We really need karma system here. Atleast if not during early days of account creation time, it can be later a grace period. Or else lemmy will become like quora.
Out of genuine curiosity, in what ways would a Karma system prevent Lemmy from becoming Quora? By giving users a reputation system of sorts?
I’m of the opinion that a karma system would just turn Lemmy into a popularity contest like Reddit, but I’m curious to hear what advantages it would have
