The Israeli military says it’s looking into what happened last month when its soldiers were filmed planting explosives and destroying a water-processing facility in the city of Rafah, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are sheltering.
The Israeli military says it’s looking into what happened last month
The israeli military will report to it’s big brother (US) that it did nothing wrong and then the US will clear them of any wrong doing, shut down everyone critical, and write them a big check to do more of the same or worse things.
I think the logic goes like this:
Hamas is made up of Palestinian civilians. Therefore, any civilian infrastructure in a Palestinian area is de facto Hamas infrastructure and must be eliminated.
They’re going to destroy all of it, it’s just a matter of time. Israel will never let a terrorist attack like that ever happen again and the Palestinians civilians can thank hamas for that.
Christ. Yeah the extremely disproportionate response to violence from Hamas, which Isreal created and helped perpetuate, is definitely justified and those 10,000+ child casualties can solely thank Hamas for that. This has definitely worked every time conflict arises, no need to read up on any history at all.
Oh well. Shrug. Don’t want them to kill your kids maybe don’t mount a cowardly terrorist attack and kill theirs. I know, hard to comprehend.
Hamas gets to wear this 100% as much as you want to believe otherwise.
Let me provide you with a short form history:
Palestine was an independent region.
After WWII, to provide a protected enclave for Jewish people, the Allies took part of that territory and gave it to the Jewish people.
The expected clashes arose, and the Jews and Palestinians in the region disputed what areas should belong to each group. Compromises were made, neither group was happy.
The nation of Israel was formed, as was the Palestinian territory. Israel refused to recognize Palestine as a political entity.
Then began a 70+ year push by Israel (not all Jewish people) to claw back and settle other bits of the Davidic Israel for the modern Israeli nation, taking this land from the Palestinians who lived there.
In one particular area, Israel controlled all access to Palestinian land, and set up Hamas to govern it in reaction to a terrorist organization that had been operating in the area. Palestinians elected Hamas to govern as they provided stability and protection from both Israel and the terrorists.
Then no more elections were held for over 20 years and Hamas turned into the exact organization they were set up to oppose.
Eventually, with the backing of Iran, Hamas moved to an all-out war on Israel, hiding within Palestinian citizenry.
Israel responded by actively destroying any location known to be linked to Hamas activity, regardless of the impact on innocent bystanders with nowhere to go.
So it doesn’t matter if you lay the blame for first move at Hamas’ feet… we’re talking about Israel destroying Palestinian infrastructure here.
Hamas has the entire Gaza Strip held hostage, and Israel is responding by killing those hostages and destroying their infrastructure, to root out Hamas insurgents that are hiding among them.
I wonder where you’re from so I can find an excuse to wish death upon you. Actually I think you’ve already given plenty
What next they will kill all lebanese because of hizbollah and then iran?
do you imagine that example will make this racist piece of shit disagree?
I would like a satire version of reality where the miscommunication was “get rid of all Hamas”, and the middle tier memo came over the wire as “Get rid of all Hummus”. And then someone clicks and is like wait, we destroyed everything over hummus? That is how widespread the destruction is. Hummus is everywhere
Ha!
As a fan of hummus, that sounds like horror or dystopia genre to me :PIt is why it came to mind. I love hummus too. I’ve been buying bags of dried chick peas and rehydrating with spiced water. Then toasting up sesame seeds and blending with all the other stuff. Works out much cheaper than those store tubs. Take you to the Hummus Shop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ndQkntBW_E
Neat and sounds tasty! What spices are in the spiced water? I’m guessing you toast sesame seeds instead of using already prepared tahini, and do so to keep costs low?
Usually I put garlic powder, paprika, pepper, hot pepper powder (i like spicy), sometines a smidge cinammon. Soak it overnight or on low heat for a few hour and the simmer them till softened. Blend up with the toasted sesame( i can control the flavour and tahini is expensive), lemon, oil, garlic, and the hljuice from picked banana peppers if I have some left over. Gives a goid tang to it
Very helpful, thank you! You’ve inspired me to give making hummus another shot. I haven’t been too satisfied with my results so far. Lots of good ideas in there. Like the pickled banana peppers juice. You sound like an awesome chef
I’m terrible at many things, but I do have a knack for knowing how something will taste ahead of time by the ingredient portions, my wife hates it because there is no recipe book… just toss together what’s in the fridge and spice cabinet.
