In addition to pumping real estate valuation, it seems like moves like this are a form of cutting workers without having to do layoffs. They know a large number of workers are wont be able to readjust, and will have to quit.

jesus fucking christ. This is just appalling
thank you, that was what i saw. I was fully expecting to find articles that would back it up, (why else would you make such a claim?) but nope. I couldnt find anything to support it.
Im a big fan of the BBC edition, but its odd thats on CNN - anyone tried watching it yet?
it was in a discussion on Bluesky, but nothing official.
I tried finding more info but couldn’t, so theres probably nothing to it. I’ll delete my previous comment as it was just unfounded rumours
I agree. The game development side of Nintendo are top notch, and care a lot about quality game design, fun, replayability, all the good stuff. These people do good work.
But the corporate/legal side of Nintendo, they are indeed raging assholes.

cliched yes, but I will always remember how scared as hell I was playing Silent Hill for the first time in high school, when you go down that dutch angle alleyway and the evil toddlers stab you to death…
i couldnt play any more for a few days haha, it was a pretty stand out memory for scary game stuff. Its hard to state how unexpected it was at the time, I hadnt played any early horror games, and I dont know how many similar experiences there were at the time (year 2000ish) so it really was brutal and surprising
Part of me was very happy the film did so well. I work in animation, and the industry is currently in the toilet due to the Zazlavs of the world - and a big success usually leads to more productions being greenlit, at least it used to.
But if an industry-leading studio like Pixar is treating their workers like a crappy sweatshop studio and had such tremendous success, that does not bode well. (They used to have a reputation for being an excellent, balanced place to work)
Well I mean, kinda. He does regrets not doing more when he was in government (as he has become significantly more left leaning) But I still wouldn’t characterize Reich as doing nothing.
He did have major policy ideas that were stopped by Clinton’s economic advisors, as well as the federal reserve (controlled by conservative ghoul Alan Greenspan, who Clinton kept on). Reich’s initiatives and plans were effectively shuttered by the same ghouls who ended up ending Glass-Steagall, leading to the 2008 financial crisis and all manner of horrific economic consequences even today. So I would really attribute more blame to Clinton himself for not fighting the more conservative wings of his own administration (on health care reform, especially)
thank you very much!! 👏
Hey other automakers looking for an exciting new feature, you can always advertise NOT snooping as a feature and “add value” without having to do squat. Think about it, less scummy companies! (if they still exist)
Whats the best way to play Sim Ant these days? Ive always wanted to try it
Sorry to always respond, but it seems you are working really hard to discourage voting for Harris.
You forgot to mention out the part how Trump has continually legitimized and empowered violent white nationalists, and is actively working to turn America into a social conservative dictatorship. (throwing out human rights for women and LGBTQ people, worker safety, medicare, education, planned parenthood, women being able to travel freely or seek medical treatment etc etc)
Harris using memes and being vague about her platform makes them equally bad in your opinion? You think people shouldn’t vote for her when the stakes are so high?
How is it remotely euphamistic to say a career prosector believes in enforcing the law?
Voting for Harris is ill advised if we are concerned about fascism? Are you really saying this with Trump on the ticket?
Where are you getting this? Also NPR is center-right, they havent been on “the left” for a good while
what! You mean he stands to profit billions after lying about his intentions?! A techbro would never!!
