Es lohnt sich zu lernen, wie man die Kommandozeile nutzt. Bei Linux ist die Grundidee, diese nicht vor dem Nutzer zu verstecken, sondern bewusst als mächtiges Werkzeug zugänglich zu machen und einzubinden. Als Einsteiger kommst du zum Glück heutzutage auch ganz gut ohne klar, aber viele der inneren Feineinstellungen von Linux lassen sich am besten darüber regeln und gerade wenn du online nach Hilfe suchst wirst du oft auf Befehle stoßen, die du in ein Terminal eingeben musst. Das ist ein bisschen so, wie man in Windows früher oder später auf die Registry stößt, wenn man Dinge verändern möchte.

Es gibt da ein tolles (und kostenloses) E-Buch von William Schott dazu, dass den Umgang anschaulich lehrt:

Damit wirst du Schritt für Schritt herangeführt und lernst auch nebenbei etwas über den Grundaufbau von Linux. Gerade am Anfang hat es mir sehr geholfen, einfache Aufgaben gleichzeitig vergleichend mit einem grafischen Programm und auf der Kommandozeile auszuführen. Also zB das Kopieren einer Datei von A nach B.

Ich empfehle dir auch explainshell.com. Dort kannst du einen Befehl reinkopieren und sie Seite zerlegt ihn in seine Bestandteile und erklärt dir was sie jeweils bewirken.

Anfangs auf jeden Fall ein dual boot setup beibehalten! Lieber Schritt für Schritt über viele Monate den Wechsel machen als plötzlich überfordert und frustriert zu sein und dann nicht mehr zurück zu können.

I can wholeheartedly vouch for lichess.org. Not only because of their privacy policy but for what they offer in terms of chess. Besides the standard game you get an analysis engine that points out good moves, how likely a player is to win, let’s you switch sides, etc.

But my favorite thing is actually the different chess variants you can play. There’s one where you are facing a legion of pawns, another where captured pieces explode and take down adjacent pieces and another where you get to replace captured pieces on the board. But my go to is simply chess with randomized but symmetrical positions in the backline (pawns stay the same). This makes every game unique and challenging; you actually need to think about your best moves from turn 1 instead of memorizing openings which is perhaps my biggest gripe with default chess.

I guess just having a staggered temporal restriction is fine, don’t need to wait until you retire necessarily. You would still receive a portion of your salary package in the form of classic currency and plenty for a good life too. An example could look like this and I’m obviously making up the percentages and durations here, they would need to be fine tuned:

• 40% of salary as cash
• 10% of salary as stocks that can’t be sold within 6 months
• 10% of salary as stocks that can’t be sold within 12 months
• 10% of salary as stocks that can’t be sold within 18 months
• 10% of salary as stocks that can’t be sold within 24 months
• 10% of salary as stocks that can’t be sold within 30 months
• 10% of salary as stocks that can’t be sold within 36 months

I guess it would be best to change the rules so that they cannot trade their company stocks at all while working there and a reasonable period beyond. I think some legislations already restrict floating stock like that but I’m no expert on the matter.

Das kann man halt nicht so einfach direkt vergleichen. Es gibt eine weite Bandbreite bei Vorhaben: von mega umfangreich bis minimale Änderungen. Wenn eine Partei ein bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen durchboxt und die andere eine Subventionsquote für einen Baustoff anpasst sind das halt ganz andere Welten. Zudem kann ja auch eine Partei die Federführung an einen Koalitionspartner abgeben wenn sie in einem Punkt inhaltlich weitgehend übereinstimmt.

Shout out to Banjo Kazooie, an older platformer from the Nintendo 64 game era, where the antagonist always speaks in silly rhymes. So the translators needed to translate and also make it rhyme while also keeping the context and humor intact. They took creative freedom of course because there simply isn’t a good match but it actually enhances the game in a way. So if you played the game in French before and now switch to English you’ll get a fresh set of jokes and rhymes.

To be fair in this subfield even the articles written by real humans are often speculative at best. Stock markets are influenced by millions of individual decisions (most of which are in themselves carried out by digital algorithms) and there isn’t a single narrative responsible for a stock’s course. Mai 2023 veröffentlichte Der Spiegel jedoch einen Artikel, aus dem hervorgeht, dass dem Spiegel Screenshots vorlägen, die belegen, dass Wagenknecht trotz bisheriger gegenteiliger Beteuerungen weiterhin in regem Austausch mit ihrem Ex-Ehemann Ralph Thomas Niemeyer stünde, der als Teil der Reichsbürgerbewegung gilt und der sich 2022/2023 als selbsternannter „Exil-Kanzler“ in Moskau mit mehreren russischen Regierungsvertretern zu Verhandlungen über die zukünftige deutsche Regierung traf.

Of reddit comments and posts those were the ones that hurt most to delete. The tech support/tutorial stuff. It hurts me a bit to think that in the future someone might search for a particular error message spat out by an installation script or how to achieve a partícular effect in a image editor and turn up empty handed. Power delete suite let me export all my content but besides the effort to repost it’s just not the same because I have only a single piece of the puzzle. What makes sites like Reddit so powerful is the branching back and forth between multiple roles. So you might have a post about a partícular error message and 4-5 different suggestions on how to deal with it each with feedback on how well the solution worked, what you need to watch out for and how to avoid the problem in the future.
