That’s how I started smoking again after 7y. Just one or two while drinking with friends. I’d bought a pack within 24h or something stupid like that.

First boot was MKLinux. Before there were books about Linux in book stores. I had no idea how to login.
Rush bragged about how Bush senior carried his bags when he stayed at the White House. He had tremendous political power whether he could command troops (like the PotUS / congress) or not.
I liked it better when I thought they were welcome the sub/dom community, but I’m also for collective action and worker’s rights. Both are good. Just one felt a bit more fun.
Organize, people. It works.
You might also be able to replace the firmware with something like DD-WRT or OpenWRT or Tomato or other third-party firmware.
By resigning, there’s nothing on his record to prevent getting a job in another department. Hooray! The system works. /s
I’m not gonna lie. I feel very grateful to have been born reasonably tall. As in, tall enough to see in a crowd, not so tall as to have difficulties with clothes, vehicles, etc. I feel bad for people who are like 6’7" cause the world just isn’t built for them.
Eight hundred thousand years. You just move the decimal to get the answer. Once you know that trick, a lot of math is really easy.
Seems fake.
I ordered a BananaPi board years ago but then life took me places where I didn’t have time or energy to follow up. I’ve recently rejoined the hobbyist homelab market, so I’ve quite interested. I’d read that drivers could be an issue with non-Pi boards but haven’t ever found out. Which boards / companies are recommendation-worthy at the moment?
Asking twice because two people had similar replies and I’m looking for feedback, not because I want to spam the thread.

I hope this isn’t the prelude to a decline. I just ordered my third Pi over the weekend. It should arrive today. I’d hate to see the platform squandered by “make number go up” types.
I knew this still existed as a port, but I didn’t realize it seems to be actively maintained. Has anyone experience with the project to be able to confirm if they think that donations are spent judiciously? I already support a couple of other open-source projects and would love to kick a few bucks this way. In fact I just bought a couple of shirts from them, but that’s benefitting me as much as (or more than) them, so it’s a different calculus.
We’re at the end-times for western capitalism, where rent-seeking has become the primary driver of markets. It’s happening all around us.
Would have preferred no music. I don’t need cues to tell me when I should feel suspense.
Brave dude. No one knows if he was apprehended except for the intelligence or military services in China.
I want to be friends with her. She seems fun.
It is and it isn’t. Apple isn’t the best at managing development resources, so they seem to get stretched kinda thin when they take on too many projects. I know they have all the money in the world. That doesn’t make them effective at managing many teams on many projects. They’re already falling on their face on some of their software goals, at least from the outside. I’m happy enough for third-party devs to fill in niche features so long as Apple doesn’t block them from doing so.
I’m not shy of command line config, so that’s good to know. I copied both Ice and the other recommendation from SixColors to my RIL apps. I’ll check them out when I start seeing reasons to move off of my present install of Bartender. Until then, it still does everything I want in ways that I like. Thanks for the heads up!
I fail to see how this is new or interesting in any way. Looks like every other Alien movie. Really, Aliens was the best, but that’s because James Cameron is a prodigy. The sound alone just makes the whole thing.
It’s almost like how local news networks in the USA are reading the same copy of stories by their handlers to spread propaganda. Gosh, do you think this could be the same?
Of course it is.
