Lol great call out, hit them with all the facts too.

I haven’t really followed her technicals specifically, but it seems to me like the usual referee problem in the NBA/WNBA. Refs are getting more ridiculous with calling technicals for the slightest expression of frustration, even if not directed at a specific person. The more popular you are though, you get some leeway. And if there’s a spotlight on some perceived bias specifically to her, I’m sure the refs will adjust and hold back accordingly.
Ok the push notification pop up started to piss me off halfway down lol. But yeah, this is a cool demonstration.
If you’re the type to upgrade frequently (since you own a 15 now), I’d say go for form factor if it’s important to you. I’m the opposite where I only upgrade when my phone dies or security updates are no longer supported, so I always go top-of-the-line when I do upgrade.
Like the “Come to Brazil!” comments on every music video or concert on youtube.
My $10 generic clear plastic case is still holding up well after 4 years. No yellowing and wireless charging works. Also, I love how the picture in the article is from chinese knockoffs that are likely what the new cases will look like.
Yeah these guys aren’t as witty or quick as Klepper unfortunately.
It is, even just for the spectacle alone. It’s impossible to adapt everything in the book to a 2 or 3 movie series, so there will always be changes and things that will be left out when translated to the big screen. Having said that, Villenueve was the best person for the job and he delivered what he intended: a film that reflects the spirit of the book as much as possible while at the same time making it mainstream enough for general audiences to appreciate.
If you’re just going by sticking to the source material as your barometer, then the SyFy series is the “best”.
The pacing was better in part 2, too fast even IMO; since they crammed all the events into less than 9 months since Alia wasn’t born in this version.
Pot meets kettle.
Dude was definitely recreating some ideas.
I have one of those things that likes to camp in front of one of my home cameras, that exhibitionist. It keeps triggering notifications that something was detected.
Gojira and the beheaded Marie Antoinette needs to be included. The Korean sharpshooter too. Also, what is the Chinese athlete holding on the leftmost, second-to-the-last row?
Yep, clips/highlights of the men’s basketball games are taken down so fast they’re usually gone within 15 mins of getting posted.
Yeah to be fair my neighborhood’s whatsapp group is still better than nextdoor because it really is contained to the neighborhood only, and so far no karens. Chats are mostly about people giving away extra food, reporting pets that have gotten loose and seen roaming around, and my favorite: everyone united on complaining about the HOA and working together to get those brought up to the board.
The only reason I have whatsapp is because my neighborhood group chat uses it. I wish everyone moved to Signal.
Even with big companies I’ve never seen one where the applicant had to find a schedule for the interview, instead of the recruiter reaching out out and checking availability. This is odd even for bigger corporations, or maybe times have changed (I haven’t applied for a new job for a while now).
I honestly can’t watch an hour long video right now. Does anyone have a TLDW? I skimmed through the first 10 mins and it’s all about his videos being scripted, edited, and using paid actors. That’s not really surprising. What I’m curious about is if he really gives away all that money and stuff (i.e. cars, houses) to people. The video probably goes into that later on but I haven’t gotten to it.
Yeah, the ones in Asia are franchised too. I’ve never been to a 7-11 in the US that I was comfortable staying more than a few minutes in. They are usually messy, have sketchy people, and I don’t trust the food. Complete opposite of convenience stores in Asia.
I miss the nice and clean Family Mart and MiniStop convenience stores in Asia. I hope they can replicate and maintain the quality if they adapt the concept in the US.
Not that it wasn’t a thing before, but it got way worse after the pandemic. A lot of people really forgot how to act in public after staying home for an extended period.
