Is Threshold worse than Code of Honor?
I’d say it’s worst. Being racist is horrible, but it wasn’t until “Threshold” that ST became actively and willingly stupid.

If not the most imaginative, certainly the most inspiring, and it evokes a strong insertion in our reality.
I think obvious that she would have sided with Maddox and disagreed with the ruling. I don’t think her capable of overcoming her prejudices against artificial life forms.
I use names of known computers or androids in fiction. My main computer is always Ralf (the computer built by Richie Adler in Whiz Kids), and my main phone is Lal (Data’s daughter). My girlfriend uses other franchises (GLaDOS, Wheatley, Marvin).

The actor playing the ghost was very prone to over-the-top material. Besides the more respectable role of Shakaar in DS9, he was the bombastic, soap-worthy Charles in V (the original series after the original miniseries) and the main character in 90’s Zorro.
The sitcom The Rikers as pitched by Sirtis and Frakes would have been better that the three seasons of Picard, frankly.
It has some interesting ideas and chapters. But when the creator of the show and the actor playing the Nietschean first officer leave due to Sorbo’s ego, the show really turns into a dumpster fire.
That man deserve no respect from me since he turned Duncan Idaho into a fucking fratboy (that is, the only part he’s ever played everywhere).
Nah, there was the clear risk that Tuvix exhibited the worst traits of Tuvok and Neelix. That would be a total nightmare. Restoring the original was the proper choice. At some point an opportunity to get rid of Neelix could appear, and you could retain the original Tuvok without loss.
And he knows it, and he’s grateful to have been able to give depth to Bester. He has said as much in interviews. As B5 fan, this makes me very happy.
I’ll never forget the Powers That Be who passed on the Global Frequency pilot. Michelle Forbes was glorious as Miranda Zero.
Demona wouldn’t be the disturbingly seductive menace she is without Marina Sirtis’ voice.
Or if you don’t want to be a silent accomplice of certain evils in society.
Would you have nice chats with a mass murderer about art?
Bye, Felicia. Keep empathizing with nazis, flat earthers and religious nuts. And bankrupt yourself to get therapy.
You can’t reason someone out of an unreasonable position.
Hitting a flat earther with logic and facts will obviously be counter productive. Even a modicum of empathy and curiosity as to why someone thinks the way they do will serve you well.
But in that case, the battle is already lost. I cannot engage with the person in a manipulative emotional way to use their emotions to shock them out of their mistaken positions. Any further communication regarding the matter is useless. And glossing over some topics is being an accomplice, but apparently that’s the only viable response.
Knowing why they believe ss they do will do nothing to help me show them their mistake.
Conversations are about much more than who is wrong and who is right.
Departing with people espousing damaging views for society, given that as you say reason is not a tool that works, is pointless.
My point is some people are beyond hope.
Those are the ones who will destroy the world, and they’ll do it cheerily.
Really? Leaving people to believe stupid, damaging, dangerous things just because you don’t want to make a scene or don’t want even the least hint of rudeness (probably because you learned that extreme politeness, even at your own expense, is a value) seems a lot less empathetic to me.
But you do you and follow “your own truth”.
Are you defending leaving the people believe whatever they want, however wrong, damaging, wrongheaded, contrary to evidence or inane, just to avoid offending them? If not, what is your fucking point?!
And now in a human language, please.
According to Ridley Scott. P. K. Dick disagreed.
