Could it also be a safety thing? So that glowing hot metal shards don’t fly everywhere creating a fire hazard?

SearXNG is also amazing. The only reason I don’t use it more is because it doesn’t have an integration into the URL bar in Firefox.
That would help to some extent with scarcity in opt-in countries. But there are already opt-out countries which still face the same dilemma. Because if you’re even one organ short how do you fairly decide who’s gonna die… Can you even fairly decide about someone’s life and death…
From my limited knowledge organ donation criteria are horribly restrictive on a personal scale but unfortunately make sense on the macro scale. Organs are such a scarce resource that as I understand there’s no other option.
This girl’s death was undoubtedly a tragedy, but as fucked up it’s to say if she lived someone else would probably die in a similar agony. Was she treated fairly - I don’t know, can we make this system better - I unfortunately also don’t know.
The cost of carrot production is slightly higher if you include all the water and labour but still a bit less than 250m
I create tables every day for run-of-the-mill stuff that simply doesn’t need a database. No one has time for that.
It seems that your issue isn’t the lack of tables in sheets but no easy way to create a simple db.
If we want to break Microsoft’s monopoly than we can’t do that by reimplementing Microsoft’s monopolistic ecosystem. And that creates the opportunity to correct questionable and arbitrary Microsoft decisions.
People are used to MS Office now but so were they used to typewriters a few decades ago. And if we’re changing OSes we don’t have to stick to one office suite.
I presume you’re from the US but at first I was surprised you can even not take all vacation days. Cause in my country it is actually illegal to not use all vacation days and the employer pays a fine for that. Which leads to a bunch of people having days or even weeks free in February/March as they’re using their vacation days (the law necessitates them to be used by Q1 or so of following year).
I’m not sure if I understand. There might not be the “fully” gay person but there is person(s) who is more gay than anyone else, thus making them gayest
Nobody ever thinks about the oli barons /s
Some of those “compostable” bags actually decompose into microplastics, so unfortunately they’re not always better
I know it has nothing to do with protecting the users, but how exactly is the app supposed to make viewing unreviewed content safer?
DaVinci provides Linux binaries
I hope you don’t have any long term consequences of that
They try to spend less so aggressively that they end up actually spending more
But why the Docker :(((
“How dare they be unhappy, it’s gonna decrease my house value” - boomers probably
“Own brands” which are theoretically lower quality accidentally executed this idea much better - to cut costs they use less material for the “strings” which allows the cap to be placed not so close to the bottle
You know… it might be just a little bit easier (/s) to take people out of poverty if the trillions didn’t go to pockets of ultra rich and the companies.
In a limited capital economy (and we are in such an economy despite capitalists thinking we’re not) every dollar that ends up in a pocket of ultra rich is a dollar that cannot be spent on food and housing by regular people.
Every single dollar in companies and ultra rich pockets comes from regular people’s work. Thus, if someone despite working lives in poverty then they are actively being exploited by the ultra rich. Jeff Bezos and Amazon workers living on food stamps is a great example.
We simply can’t take everyone out of poverty if we don’t distribute the money even slightly more fairly.
If you can’t open 90% of pdfs sent from different sources then you’re the problem
