For me it was the fact that the first sentence literally just spells out what the line above says. It feels like every other sentence coming from ChatGPT is just a summary of the previous sentence. (Unless it’s trying to relativize, then it hits you with the “it’s important to remember”.)
Eh, I mean it’s a very specific flavor of overexplaining and needlessly summarizing, I don’t think real ramblings (for lack of a better word) would exhibit this particular writing style purely by chance, even with repeated points.
This consistent overexplaining of every single sentence reeks of GPT
It’s great for racing games where you have gradual steering but also quicker response times than with a controller
I usually like this creator, but he conflated multiple unrelated issues in the video and also made too much of a point out of his own experience of not knowing what to do. This isn’t really a video on vision pro as it is on various aspects of the modern internet
TIL it’s entitled to ask that software you use is either compliant with the law or clearly lets you know that it isn’t, especially when the developers have no idea what the law is
While I believe that nobody should be able to wield that much wealth in the first place, arguably being a world-famous artist is among the least unethical ways to become rich as long as the artistic work isn’t bought from ghostwriters. It takes $10 in net profit from 100m fans to make a billion, and I could easily imagine a sizable crowd of her followers genuinely wanting to give her money like that (whereas, for example, I never would have willingly agreed to give Nestlé’s leadership money, even when I used to buy their brands still).
I don’t care about her specifically, but from a “owning the fruits of your own labor” perspective, I think it makes sense for the art itself to be a big part of that.
Even “down time” doesnt really feel like down time because I am stuck between either boredom, working on yet another thing or thinking about things in general.
Oh man, I feel this so much. Most of my hobbies are somewhat work-like so while I enjoy them, they’re not really relaxing. And I can’t really “do nothing”
Foolish me for thinking no-one could possibly need an /s on that comment.
I got the sarcasm, but this particular point is – as you’ve demonstrated very clearly in your response – the actual message you’re trying to push.
Or did you not know that highly addictive amphetamines is a commonly prescribed for ADHD?
You’re using “highly addictive” to insinuate that this is just a ludicrous and fundamentally flawed practice. No concern towards all of those who do have ADHD who report that medication has helped them live a life otherwise inaccessible to them. It’s highly stigmatizing framing and just because you have a valid point about opioids does not mean you get to dismiss genuine mental health struggles as having fallen prey to a marketing scheme.
the real breakthrough has been convincing everyone that they have some sort of mental health issue that requires pharmaceuticals. The entire country is taking something, and that’s been a huge help in keeping people docile.
I was with you up until that point. You point out that the poor are made to fight each other and then you engage in a fight against the disadvantaged who need medical assistance? Fuck this science denying, ableist bullshit.
Grammar aside, it’s an odd choice to fill up half the page with 747s if you want to showcase the variety of commercial passenger airplanes.
It’s not “considered trendy”, your understanding of communism – an economic system – is just conflated with authoritarianism – a political system. You can advocate for one without advocating for the other.
That said, capitalism also leads to the deaths of millions, but somehow that’s just an unquestionable fact of life.
You can also just use the “Following” feed instead of the default “For you” feed, it’s sorted chronologically and doesn’t have ads
Here’s a really small and easy to fix pet peeve of mine: graphics options that cycle through the levels of fidelity with inconsistent scales. I like to set my graphics to max, try it out, and then adjust down where needed. It’s very annoying if a game doesn’t stop where the max option is, so if it’s currently at “High” I have no idea if the next option to the right is going to be “Very High” or “Low” again. So I often end up overshooting the highest setting and having to go back one, or purposefully going to the lowest setting and then one further.
When any message with some contents is received - Right now this is limited to a list of contacts. I’d like to have a shortcut where someone could text me, “Where are you?” and it’ll just auto-send my location.
You can already do this! Just leave the Sender field on “Choose” and fill out the Message Contains field only.
How does she feel about the MacBook keyboard? I personally quite like it, now that they’re normal again, but especially for an aspiring writer I think that is a pretty significant criterium.
I’m mostly just glad to be in a country where it is more socially acceptable to be direct. I would be a bit more formal than the original email, but the rewritten version seems really watered down and tip-toed in comparison.
I think that is changing through ChatGPT and the likes though, even it’s non-English output has a distinct American tone to it that I’m starting to see more in professional emails. I have seen too many literal translations of “I hope this message finds you well” already, it’s kinda ridiculous
