And miss out on stuff like this?!
And miss out on stuff like this?!
Do you think farmers should not use any tractors and pick their crops using manual labour?
That would also create a lot of jobs.
Snoking is bad for your skin though 🚬
Yes you are! Don't sell yourself short.
Or people that drink much more often, see this post, and find it too confronting for themselves.
Definitely more than 1 asshole in that story though. The biggest one not the one you know, imo
Who will be the judge to decide which people are a drain on society to kill?
Megaparsec, kilojoules, kilo electron volt,… are all very common.
Then on the other hand, giga solar masses is never used.
Who switches to miles if they initially use km? They’re the same order of magnitude.
They aren’t trying to get the community removed, they just don’t want to host their content.
So bringing attention to it is not at odds with their goals.
But it puts things in flames
A different kind of high!
Best of luck, OP! You’ve got this 💪
I’m all for preserving old buildings, so very nice to see this.
But as a European living in a city with churches going back to the 13th century, I can’t help but laugh at a building from 1971 being referred to as “been here forever” 😅
A lot of cities in Europe are actively discouraging people from taking the car to get to the city center. Either by requiring a permit to enter, making it very convoluted to get to your destination by implementing one-way streets and having a few big roads made to take on traffic, outright banning older cars with bad emission, or a combination of the above.
This is typically balanced with park & rides outside the city center, from where you can easily take public transport into the city.
Suppliers are still allowed in and are able to do so because less cars are driving there.
The city I live in has recently implemented such measures. Lots of people were complaining beforehand. But after a few years, there’s not less people making it inside the city, no massive congestion, better air quality,…
Edit: not saying this is necessarily the case here. From other comments, it does seem they moved traffic underground. But my reply is still valid to your comment.
Djokovic has definitely made statements that makes people’s dislike for him justified.
Amazing at his sport, crap human being.
I won’t say this is definitely not true, but it has a lot of “my dad works at Nintendo” vibes.
Next to basically everything that has been mentioned before (most notably backwards compatibility for games and the combination of handheld and docked), I would love it if the controllers would be backwards compatible as well. My joy-cons have the dreaded drift, but it would be nice if I can keep using my pro controller.
Reading these comments, I think the opinion of the community is that Nintendo got a lot of things right. Keep those, but just update it. Meaning more powerful and more reliable hardware.
The games are great, let us keep playing them and the new ones on the same system.
The option to choose and switch between handheld and docked is amazing. Both this and the previous point are what helps Nintendo set itself apart from the competition. Keep or even build on that.
Personally, the gym is not good place to process things for me. Running works much better, especially without music.
Gym is great for self esteem though and the feeling of working on yourself. It definitely has a positive impact.
I definitely recognise this. I’m a problem solver by nature. So as soon as a thought would pop up that I felt that I couldn’t handle, I just pushed it away.
But of course, these thoughts didn’t resolve themselves so they just stayed there.
It’s still not easy for me, but now when I have such a feeling, I just let it free. Most likely it won’t get solved, some things just can’t, but I get used to them, find a place for them, and in some rare cases even make it my strength.
Not exactly related to the question, but as a non-native English speaker, whenever I read something related to weights in imperial, e.g., 150 lbs, my mind reads it as 150 lubes.
I know it’s pounds, if I would read it out loud, I would say pounds cause I’m not a weirdo (well…). But still, my internal monologue has lbs = lubes
