Yep, he’s literally Hitler, just without the mass genocide (yet).
We’ve always wondered how so many people followed Hitler, now we know

Any plane internet I’ve used has been spotty and terribly slow, but then again, I haven’t bought it in years because of previous experiences. I can stand to be without it for 2.5 hours.
Nice! I’ll give this a try at some point. The only reason I still have Windows 10 on my desktop is because playing and modding Skyrim via MO2 is an absolute nightmare on Linux. The last time I tried it (about two years ago) it was far more trouble than it was worth and I ended up getting about 15 FPS on a GTX 2080.
It’s just a cash grab, they gotta make money to appease their shareholders!
Do yoga, that’s what I started doing after the back issue mentioned above and it has definitely helped.
I’m 38, so I know what 35 looks like haha People age at different rates than others. I’ve seen 35 year olds that look like their 65 and 65 year olds that look like their 35.
I’m 38 and right around 34-35 is when you start to notice it IMO. I have minor scoliosis in two places and I threw out my back getting out of bed one morning when I was like 34.
And then you have people like Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, and Kate Beckinsale who look like they haven’t aged a day in decades. It’s hard to believe that Brad is like 61 and still looks about 35.
I follow Kate on Instagram (highly recommended) and she’s over 50 (IIRC) and still looks like she’s in her late 20s. I’m convinced that she’s actually a vampire and Underworld was an autobiography.
Threadripper already accomplished all of this years ago. My TR2970WX has 24 cores/48 threads, 48 PCI-E lanes, and it supports ECC and non-ECC RAM. My AsRock Rack board has BMC support as well.
The Threadripper series was the perfect workstation CPU. I’ve had mine for a few years and it can handle anything I throw at it, it can easily transcode 2-3 4K videos while doing multiple other things.
It wasn’t cheap though, it was like $650 on sale, originally like a grand or so.
Yeah, but I should be able to have them separate as well like I can in every other Linux distro. In TrueNAS they force you to have them in separate subnets for some reason.
I agree, the VM management could be easier. I don’t understand why I can’t have two NICs in the same subnet as long as they have different IPs.
The bigger annoyance for me was there was no way to tell what disk is attached where in the VM device listings since it only shows the boot order and not labels or paths.
Q1: No it shouldn’t matter as long as you didn’t import the pool using device names (sda, sdb, etc…). If you’re using labels or UUIDs (the better option for portability sake). If they do happen to use device names, just export the pool and then reimport it on the same system using labels or UUIDs.
Q2: It should work just fine assuming you’re not using device names for your pools
Q3: it’s just as robust as FreeBSD’s implementation. Once again, see the answer to Q1.
Q4: IMO virtualizing your NAS just adds more headaches and performance overhead compared to running it on bare metal.
Out of my years running TrueNAS on and off, I’ve always had issues with it when doing anything other than using it purely as a storage box. I tried 24.04 a few weeks ago, thinking that most of the issues I had originally when SCALE was launched would be resolved. They weren’t. So I went back to Arch w/OpenZFS…again
Yep, iDrive is the way to go, before they raised their prices I got 50 TB for a year for $500. I moved everything back locally, now I’m just going to use them for off-site backups. You can’t beat $15 for 1 TB for a year.
I love how you’re mixing metric and imperial in the title 😂
I was never a huge Simpsons fan, but even I just read this in Homer’s voice. It’s universal.
I think what’s even more annoying is when you actually do use the app, every community you visit, it pops up a notification that says “turn on notifications so you don’t miss updates from this community!”
I’m going to guess enabling “desktop mode” in Chrome (idk if other browsers have it) would probably work as well, but would throw off the layout most likely.
Oh nice, I have a Carbon X1. I knew that fprintd has worked for a while, and has allowed me to enroll fingerprints, but has never successfully worked for authentication.
Meanwhile in Miami it’s a low of 82 and a high of 89, with a feels like of 100 everyday because of 80% + humidity until the end of October. My apartment is in a newer building and is well insulated. I forgot to turn on my AC two nights ago before I passed out for the night. When I woke up around 10 AM it was 71% humidity in my apartment 🥵 I walked around outside for about 10-15 minutes yesterday in basketball shorts and a light T-shirt and was dripping in sweat.
