Got in just after Dapper, those days fooling around with compiz were the best. Went distrohopping when Unity happened.
What about XFCE users?
The message speaks well of my situation, but that doesn’t mean I’ll buy a fucking Sneakers™ like a mindless consumer drone. FUCK™ YOU™ BRAND™
What if I use Debian but with backports and flatpak for apps that need fast updates?
Its very ingrained on me that a proper business should be able to spare a few on a domain for themselves, as I remember it before the dot-com bubble.
Now? Websites have been displaced by social media altogether and many small business simply prefer having an Instagram profile, for example.
Yeah, that’s what happens, something cool but that’s it. It would be nice if l could use it for something else other than a glorified online resume.
I also bought a cheap domain for experimenting around, so that’s where all my “not so professional” stuff goes.
Kojima gone, Konami bad, usual rant - I’m glad for David reprising his role once again, if anything.
That being said, Snake’s saga is long over. Shouldn’t they try testing new waters with a continuation of Metal Gear Rising as well?
It should be perfectly doable. The only difference is that the server in on the local network (e.g. 192.168.1.101) instead of localhost (127.0.0.1). You might need to configure your OS firewall to let traffic through.
If we're being really pedantic, the last part in Korean is counted with different units:
So we could have separate implementations of length() where we count such cases with different criteria… But I wouldn't expect non-speakers of Korean know all of this.
Plus, what about Chinese characters? Are we supposed to count 人 as one but 仁 as one (character) or two (radicals)? It gets only more complicated.
Not a conventional case, but I’ve seen some HKers use the word ‘colonizers’ deliberately against pro-Beijing commenters. It effectively gives the vibe of PRC being yet another colonial master, which really triggers internet fights.
It could work with fully recognized sovereign countries, but not with HK. Problem with words like patriotic or nationalist in this context is that it brings the issue of HK’s political status, especially within China.
In an ideal scenario, a Hongkonger should be able to preserve their cantonese and foster local HK culture whether accepting or not the city’s status as SAR of PRC, but that “China one big family” ship sailed a long time ago.
So we need to play with words. HK local culture preservationist? Sounds to long. Anti-assimilationist could be used but in limited context, like HK-ers protesting against a public policy favoring mandarin.
What about Yunohost? Its made for newbies getting into selfhosting and has Jitsi support.
Aren’t you worried about ransomwares though?
Helped my parents get treatment for $old_people_health_complications. I used my phone for contact. I had barely started using that number in particular.
Next week I received a call asking if I wanted to “reserve a place in the town cemetery in case of the unfortunate” (it wasn’t in the US, words might be different).
It wasn’t me, it was my parents, and the fuckers tried to manipulate potentially grieving people.
Not everyone plays games or has time for it.
I’d rather have a text-only instance with no media at all. Can this be done?
Does that disable image saving and processing for one’s instance?
Mankind Divided had a very abrupt cliffhanger. Adam needs a proper closure to his story.
My bad. Sorry.
