  • This is going to come off as 'non technical', because well, it's my personal opinion of course… Anyway, as someone who's been playing this game since Action: Quake, the gameplay just feels different to me.

The two things I can think of offhand with the limited play I've had so far (about 3 days now) 1) things feel zoomed out (I'm not quite sure how to describe it). I'm sure this has something to do with the vision/perspective of the new engine. 2) the gunplay itself, while having hints of CSGO/counterstrike, feels inherently different. Spray feels different, burst feels different. I'm finding single fire to be way more prevelent then before and headshots feeling different as well.

Again, my personal opinion and feeling of the game. Maybe it'll grow on me with time, but similar to CS: Source, it just doesn't feel the same currently.

To put it into perspective I guess, I felt that CSGO felt more like counterstrike (minus the guys and other technical issues of course) then CSGO did at launch.

  • Mini early review of the game for me.

Tldr: for the quality and what I’ve played so far, $25 is 100% worth it.

The game is in essence multiple mini games that culminates into, find materials, use said materials to build up restaurant and continue to progress. The game absolutely BLASTS you early on with tons of things to collect, which is FINE! initially, it sucks though because your at barebones upgrades and things are difficult to do consistently because of it.

But as you progress you get stronger and the game cycle gets easier but with new enemies, collectibles, etc to do and see. The underwater zones change so things get pretty different consistently. The game also has great charm and sounds. Every area has its own look and feel, with a good and not too overdone comedy. Lots of cutscenes can be skipped too which is awesome.

My only gripe so far (still early) is combat is kind of basic and clunky, but manageable.

I give it a great early thumbs up and a recommendation.

  • Currently playing: -Rocket League (after a controller Hiatus) -TFT -Dave the Diver

Started but lacking the will to boot up recently: -Diablo 4

Lately I’ve been liking less involved games as it allows me to watch videos while playing and talking to friends. Diablo 4 has been a bit of a point, as I love the old Diablo games and series but having trouble really getting into the live service version. It’s a solid game but just feels different overall. Took me extra time to beat the main story because I just kept putting it down. Dave the diver is worth the money. Great game so far and works in small plays.
