Anecdotally I mostly hear that the cross-platform code doesn’t work so you end up needing to write platform specific implementations of everything anyway. But in Flutter. And it is harder to hire good talent for.

Yeah it sure would be nice to have these companies do some vetting. Unfortunately that would cost them money, so we cannot be doing something like that.
Do a DMCA takedown with Etsy. They are violating your copyright. Copyright law kinda sucks but it’s the only tool we have to enforce stuff like CC licenses.
“To make my computer do as I wish I simply need to lie about my country of residence. I am very technically adept.”
TBF I do find that confusing. I’m used to human-readable conf files that persist across updates. But I can see how non-technical users might think understanding a collection of tricks is knowledge of their OS.
I wish our indolent government would do its job breaking this shit up.
Pay for the hardware
Pay for the software
Subscribe to your own machine
Get your wallet out, serf. The landlords renting your computer to you need another yacht.
I used to be cynical about the findom stuff, but I guess some people really get off on being forced to subscribe to their own machine.
Definitely no cloud is a strict requirement here, too. I see where you are coming from. A couple of times I wanted to print something but instead had to replace bearings and recalibrate. That takes days or longer because I am low motivation about it. I guess that’s the price I have to pay to ensure I’ll always be able to replace parts with standard components and recalibrate.
You know, I’m sure it is great. But looking around at the absolute bullshit I see with 2D printers, I’m never buying a closed source machine for 3D. People are even complaining about Brother these days, seems like only a matter of time that proprietary machines go to shit.
How do you set up stable diffusion to run locally? I have been trying out llama.cpp for text and was looking for a similarly easy tool to try image generation.
I’m not sure if HIPAA requires medical providers to delete your data, let’s make certain to include that. It needs to act transitively. If you request deletion, the data must be gone from everyone they passed it on to, and so on. If they send it abroad and cannot enforce the deletion, let’s have some million-dollar fines per instance.
What the fuck, I have been brainwashed. Ludd et al were legit. We could have a really nice society but somehow the average person is irredeemably stupid to not join a movement such as that.
The owner should forfeit the property if they don’t pay taxes. The only options Canada should have is if they want to gift it to this guy to get a mortgage on it and pay what’s due or sell it to get their money.
That would make sense. This current thing is one of the dumbest, most citizen-hostile laws I have ever seen, and I am saying that stuck in the US.
Oh, interesting. Worth a shot, thank you for the tip.
I hope so. From what I read, my problem is burnt in on some boot ROM, so it may not be fixable. I’m willing to try a different vendor using the same chip.
The dual booting problems are enraging. I somehow have the opposite problem, that it will always boot from the SD if the SD is present during power on. How hard is it to make an alternative boot method button?
I wish I had known this beforehand, I’m sure there are other SBCs with sane booting. I am never buying an Orange Pi again.
Everyone is a slave to systemd. But they seem to kinda like it, whereas Snaps are just raw garbage.
Ubuntu is the Windows 11 of Linuxes.
Damn, same, nuked Traefik when v2 broke the setup I spent hours trying to figure out. I don’t think the concepts are overwhelming, but something is profoundly wrong with their documentation habits. Now someone in the comments here is saying v3 changes the way paths are read with regex? Lol, fuck Traefik, never again.
