er, by default any profit is taxable for them while as a lemming you get a tax free $600 profit before it impacts you
but fuck ticketmaster anyway

They’re already a monopoly
but they arent. there are plenty of other storefronts out there, albeit many being publisher owned. steam continues to succeed not because it has cornered the market like some monopolies, but because it is pro consumer and actually embraced by its target audience
depends who he passes ownership to. it could be a bunch of inheriters who have no interest in owning/running it and it will be forced to sell off to split shares out. or maybe he gifts it to a single person he sees as a successor. who knows, i dont know shit about his family so have no idea
i know, and the YT music interface in my opinion, is shit
at this point I simply refer to them as “cooked” and refuse to further engage until they stop blindly reading cooker shit and rejoin reality, then we will talk.
literally told my mum that today and no regrets. no more pussyfooting around extremists
I often wonder are we in some sort of “data bubble”? all this obsession over collecting it but not actually providing stuff people will pay for surely has an endgame
who’s the redditors? wrong site champ, you lost or something?
I think its the same thing here, you pay for premium it gives you access to YT music
in theory i agree, but i could not stand the UI when i tried youtube premium, compared to spotify which is just seamless
probably cheaper than my cycling hobby too
seen it happen before but what they do is ‘abolish’ the role, and introduce a new role with a new name, oddly similar job description (they change it enough to count as a new role) and rehire people on contract where the previous roles were permanent
i struggle to understand that even from a sociopathic viewpoint here, productivity drop would far exceed any wage savings
some people could just sit on the floor and work.
i hope you have a workplace safety agency where you are, because damn…
genie is out of the bottle. uncharted territory ahead and we are at point where it might not even take a malicious actor to pose a threat, AI is learning off AI which is learning off AI. Noone can understand the inner workings of all of them, even the developers. it’s going to be time to give up arguing with idiots online because they will be able to “supprt” their position easily, no matter how rediculious. honestly I wish at this point I could slink off and go offgrid
if I was as rich as Elon, whether it’s my own companies tech or not, I’m having a paid human driver on hand at all times anyway
he looks 60 but is probably 40
I work with financial analysts and accountants at work. we swing from “holy shit the sky is falling” to “wow we have more budget in this than we realised” in a few months, meanwhile the guys in the field do the exact same job and the relatively fixed revenue stream keeps coming in
try navigating along distance trip you’ve never done before without google/apple/bing maps. they don’t publish hard copy street directorys anymore where I am
the main thing holding me back is the password manager in Chrome and having to basically use 2 browsers as passwords are slowly saved to a new system
it won’t be a space station but on earth. the rich been building bunkers in new Zealand. which…has a really fucked up wealth disparity and cost of living crisis before it was cool.
good luck staying safe fuckers
