I’ve been playing Red Dead Redemption (the first one) and I’m enjoying it a lot. I’ve decided to play without the on-screen map and it does wonders for immersion, recognizing areas, locations, where people are, etc. I highly recommend it!

Option 2. It's the most robust. You'll never lose it (provided you have the redundancy), you can use it offline, you can transfer it using a USB pen, it's available in all platforms, including web. I've been using this for 8+ years, on my phone, desktop, laptop, company computer, etc. I store it on a personal cloud (and on each machine, of course, by syncing).
People around these parts would probably ask me if I even like star trek :)
Eddie knows
Yes, web apps, yes. But to confirm online payments you usually need the app. That’s true at least of N26.
May be. I have no idea.
I have no actual idea, but I don’t think so as it’s an “online” bank where you set up the account on the mobile app. There’s no other way to set up an account with this bank.
I can’t do online shopping without accepting a notification on my bank’s app. That’s not “social media and chat apps”.
[offtopic] Where are you from, OP? Is it Eastern Europe? I don’t think you’re French, because you would have used « and ». But you used „ and ”. Come, tell me, is is Switzerland? Bulgaria? Russia? :)
Ploum makes a very interesting point on his blog: https://ploum.net/2023-06-23-how-to-kill-decentralised-networks.html
They talk about examples like Google Chat being XMPP, becoming very big, changing the standards that look like other XMPP users/clients are subpar and then killing “federation” but no one complains because everyone uses their product, so it’s not a big disruption.
While I don’t think this is it, because Facebook is huge and ActivityPub isn’t (XMPP was the most used protocol then), this happened and can’t be ignored.
What did that mean? How does that work?
For me, 10 of 37 and counting :)
This happened to me with Jerboa, but it’s a bug. Open your instance on the browser and click Subscribed to make sure it’s working. They should show the same posts
Unlike the Vulcans, who helped human progress!
I don’t think Spock was emotionless. For one, an “outburst” is emotional. That he noticed it just means he’s aware of it and used to not do it. Then, whenever he spoke of Una on the trial was super emotional. Praising her is because he likes her, not because it is logical (in the setting).
What are the other new Trek shows? You mean Discovery and Picard? Are there more? I’ve been a bit disconnected.
Well I’m not a huge gamer, specially since I have a kid, but I was expecting GTA with horses, but I’m enjoying it a lot (I don’t really like GTA) anh I had not played this game, since I never had a console, but it came out for switch and I went for it. I’m not going to try to sell it to you. The no-map immersion is a big factor, I guess, which is new for me!
