The recent inflation is a global phenomenon and is not limited to Canada, and thus it is very unlikely caused by Trudeau. We don’t have that level of global economic influence yet.

The same people that are opposed to the carbon tax because it makes things more expensive, go figure…
This better not be loss

I mean… Don’t you think this is a bit of a far fetch? A car couldn’t look like this it would be ridiculous!
If Audi’s headlights and if BMW’s front grill’s tumor continued growing had a baby (?)
This guy is essentially asking for Quebec’s independence
Canada has a huge competition problem and the liberals and conservatives are too corrupt to change anything about this. We have 3 grocery company and 3 telecom providers that both fix prices so fuxking high, and the government keeps giving them subsidies aka free money. I really hope one day a government with some balls will get elected and decide to force these companies to split up. I promise to myself that if I ever get enough money, I would start a telecom company and sell plans at cost + a fixed margin, just to hurt the big players. This happened in France 20 years ago with Free, they basically had the same situation as we have here, and they came up with a plan that was still profitable but was wayyy less expensive than the competition. Of course the big players tried suing Free but they lost and now France has among the lowest telecom prices for developed countries
The one thing I was hoping from a Poilievre PM is that I assumed he would at the very least match the 2% NATO requirement, that was the only thing going for him
That’s because you didn’t reboot! It’s not too late!
A scale and a legend would have been pretty helpful, and a specific criteria as well, because we don’t have the info on what was used to measure how supportive or not a province is
There’s other reasons to dislike Aral but these ain’t them. My list is more like:
When I am asked for tip when purchasing bread at a bakery, I put no tip. Why would I tip for a service interraction that lasted 28 seconds? “Id like some bread please. here you go, its x$. beep thank you have a great day”
I ordered take out pizza once, the prompt said 18, 20 or 30%. If they had kept reasonnable options maybe I would have CONSIDERED tipping. But the fact that the suggested tip amount was 18% just made me say nope you get nothing. And the service was pretty bad as well soo… At this point I dont care if I get bad looks from the employee
I don’t see how that addresses what I said in my comment?
I don’t get the rich getting richer in the title, how does owning a home (for the vast majority of people, on a mortgage) make someone rich? About 65% of the Canadian population are homeowners. 65% of the population owning 90% of the wealth isn’t that surprising or that wrong. What’s truly wrong is numbers like 1% of the population owning 30% of the total wealth in the US.
I think the same, I often find that people overestimate their ability to write self documenting code and with the added mess of automatic formatters it often becomes hard to read and understand. In my department I am one of the few who actually writes comments and readmes that explains the reason behind some decisions. I am very junior, less than a year of experience, so maybe I will be able to better understand code that other people write in the future. But for the time being I write my documentation and my comments in a way that someone who doesn’t know anything about the project can understand, because I hate having to call coworkers because I can’t figure out how the project handles x and y (bear in mind that is also caused by Java “best practices” with 45 abstraction layers)
I’m the total opposite, my documentation is very thorough, my code looks like it was made by a monkey
This is weird especially because iOS uses file based encryption, and when resetting the device the key is thrown away. So even if the files were still there, they would not be readable. I think they didn’t reset the device properly and instead deleted the apps manually is likely why this happened
It’s a shame that snaps are forced to use Canonicals closed source backend because they are really good, and a fully snap system is a very compelling idea for immutable systems
