Wtf hellscape is this? Is this like the last chopper out of Saigon or something?

Yeah lol looked that up myself, too. But when making sense of the RPG term in the first place, I relied on my then understood definition of jamm(ing/er).
Huh, never knew this was where the RPG term spelljammer came from.
I’ve never run or been in a spelljammer campaign but have always been interested. I just thought they “jammed” together magic and age of sail ideas and that’s where they got the name from lol.
Yeah, I would not want to meet her in a dark alley…
And mount and blade lol
Are you me?
I actually have a heavy jacket with a silk liner with printed headlines irl lol it’s pretty popular and easy to manage with silk these days. In fact, I got that jacket in the mid '00s.
I’ve seen designs and pretty detailed photos printed on silk liners for suit and more everyday jackets.
“They’re just wrestling, Timmy.”
I stand by SNW and LD. Strange New Worlds is a solid return to form and Lower Decks was the kitschy fan service with a lot of heart that I needed after some horrendously bleak years in real life near the end of the 2010s and through the pandemic.
I think both are doing a good job of keeping up with the times as past series have done when they aired. Cannot make it through Discovery, though. That one just did not grab me, despite me wanting it to and giving it multiple shots because I was stoked for Michelle Yeoh and Doug Jones.
Genuinely everything. It’s like a whole program on just “how to find the newest worst way to be a human being”.
Nice! Yeah, it’s mostly Greek and Roman, but it has the main points of Norse mythology near the end.
It’s been one of my “if there’s a natural disaster, what do you grab” books for years lol
Neil Gaiman is a wonderful narrator, too.
If you’re into mythology, generally, I recommend “Mythology” by Edith Hamilton. The audiobook is great, too. I read and reread that so many times between middle school and my classics courses in college.
Eventually picked up the audiobook read by Suzanne Toren. I’m pretty sure it’s the most recent one available through audible and I liked her narration.
Edit: Suzanne Toren*
Omitted the “n” as I’m on mobile.
Sure, there are a lot of differences. The age and his demeanor reminded me of Jet because of how experienced and casual both seem. Like, he does things casually because he is so used to doing them. Idk if that makes sense.
Maybe it’s the hair/age, but definitely getting Jet Black vibes from this guy.
Fully automated, too!
Lol nw! I was surprised too when I first bought the cans in college.
Luke: We’ve had one, yes. What about second [Death Star]?
Master of efficiency.
