Most people didn’t buy EA games at origin or Ubisoft games at UPlay even though you needed those launchers anyway. They even didn’t buy CDProjekt games at gog despite the games being dem free there.

Excluding deals on sought after games is literally the only way to get a majority of the players moving away from there comfortable “I have ally games and friends there already” position

1. Actually own the ge there instead of renting a licence for it.
2. Know that 100% of your money go to the game developers.
3. Get many additional goodies for free

Don’t tell me people are choosing the better deal when it’s all just steam having the might of “I have most of my games there already” on their side…

Let’s also not forget that game developers have no choice but to release on steam if they want to have any chance on breaking even since they have that huge of a market share and that Epic challenging that already lead to better deals for developers since Valve hat virtually free reign before

I think the best example about how AI will only further a bias that’s already there is the one when Amazon used AI to weed out applications by training an ai with which applications resulted in hired people and which failed - eventually they found that they almost only had interviews with men and upon closer inspection identified that they already were subconsciously discriminating against women earlier but at least HR sent them an equal amount of men and women to the interviews which now wasn’t the case anymore since the AI didn’t see the value in sending the women to interviews if most of them wouldn’t be hired anyway.

Es bräuchte halt echt ein ranked choice voting damit die die jetzt zur Wagenknecht Partei sind weil sie sich bisher nicht repräsentiert gefühlt haben oder die die die AfD nur aus Protest wählen obwohl sie eigentlich nicht rechts wählen wollen (soll es ja leider geben) die Möglichkeit haben sich auch unter den kleinstparteien um zu gucken ohne dass man das Gefühl hat damit eh nichts zu erreichen.

Gerade wenn bei der nächsten Wahl noch Linke und FDP mit 4-5% an der Hürde scheitern und die Basis weiter bei 2-3% hängt laufen wir auf eine Situation zu wo bei sowieso schon niedriger Wahlbeteiligung die Stimme von jedem 5. der zur Wahl gegangen ist einfach keine Anwendung findet…
