I bet you they’ll start pulling their games from stores in 2-3 years or release new ones exclusively to their own. The games will be made as difficult to run in wine/proton as possible. Probably they’ll introduce some new graphics layer that’s windows only and since they own huge game publishers, they don’t have to worry about any other platform ever.
I mean, at the extremes, a bunch of things start acting weird. Cool gas down enough and it turns liquid, heat it up enough and you get plasma (?), put it under enough pressure and you get liquid (?), send strong currents through materials and they start acting weird too.
What makes this ice though? the structure?
What do you do if there's a fire?
I mean… if Apple makes it a shit platform to support, this isn't a surprise. Valve can control the entire environment on Linux. If something goes wrong, they can look at the code of the kernel. On Mac, they have to ask Apple for support. For <1% of the player-base, that's way too much of a hassle.
My Lord, I had the distinct displeasure of being granted access to a few pre-mades. Not to be repeated
Appropriate reaction honestly
If you want to explore the most toxic community on the internet, install Dota 2.
Video? Not just screen resolution?
I have a RPi3 and can't play anything above 720p.
Another board that can't play 1080p? Fantastic!
Lol, I state that seeing chess as a sport is relative, and all you read is "he holds the absolute truth". Quite ironic.
It’s not a fact. Gravity is fact. Chess being declared a sport by a bunch of old men, is widely accepted opinion.
In that I’m consistent: chess isn’t a sport either. Sure, you feel wrecked after hours of concentration, but if that’s the only criteria, then office jobs would be sport. If it has to be a game, then office politics could be treated as a game with rules and it would still be a sport.
So no, it has to have physical activity and the physical activity has to be significant enough to tire out muscles. Lifting a beer for a few minutes would be more of a sport than esports, chess or anything else majorly mental. The brain isn’t a muscle.
Watch it with him and discuss the video afterwards. No matter how many people sit in front of a screen, it counts as one view.
I feel like this disparity is a cultural thing where women generally don’t play video games as much or as early in life.
And that the stats are off. Probably they count mobile games as “gaming”. Candycrush isn’t gaming. And honestly, ESports is a euphemism. It isn’t sports.
Indeed, missed a zero '-_-
That’s pretty impressive! It’ll pay for at least 50 full-time developers at 100k/year! They can make some really big changes with that kind of money!
Rewrite in Rust? :P
Edit: kekw, been on the internet too long and NA-maffed that
Pulling an Apple without the infra
I’m curious why they chose C#. Maybe to be a Unity alternative without requiring to invest in a new language?
Would be hilarious if the picture there were also AI generated (it sure does look like it to me).
