I keep reading work as worm.
Well, no. It wouldn’t be the first kanji of English. Kanji is the Japanese pronunciation of 漢字 (hanzi), where 漢 means han/China and 字 means character/letter. Ergo, it makes no sense to call it “the English language’s first and only Chinese character.”
If you need to use a Japanese word to describe this, then 絵文字 (e mo ji; picture, character/symbol) fits better, but we already have several words for that, like pictogram or pictograph. One could argue that smileys fall into this category as well. So perhaps it’s a smiley.
I really like Tumbleweed. Sure it updates a lot, but it doesn’t force updates so you can take it at your own pace.
It wasn’t well balanced but it was a good RPG experience. Oblivion had a bunch of elements stripped out, but it was still an RPG, the wonky alphabetical voice acting aside. Skyrim felt like a cookie-cutter action adventure game, all the roleplay had flown out the window.
First is financially successful, it generated some decent profits for the stockholders.
This is the only sort of success they care about. Anything else is secondary. These companies gladly burn bridges with their communities so long as they believe it’ll benefit their bottom-line.
I don’t think she should be earning so much, but varannandagsutdelning does actually make sense with how few letters get sent (even though I’d also prefer daily delivery). But crazy that stamp prices have also basically doubled.
I think the main issue I have is that this also applies to time critical post, and thus post can arrive too late.
But just like with so many other public service things and agencies, Sweden is determined to make a paper profit. Vinstkrav. Would be cool if SJ for example was allowed to sell their train tickets for cheaper prices, but nope, they need to make at least 10% profit or something around that.
When it comes to essential infrastructure it makes no sense to me that they need to operate on a profit.
SEK. I make 38k a month! Thus, she makes about ~18 times more than me and then a nurse’s salary on top of that.
That’s PostNord for you. Reminder that the CEO earns ~700k a month for doing helpful things like… introducing every other day delivery of post. Hmmm.
This particular tumblr blog’s entire thing is taking poorly cropped tumblr screenshots from Pinterest and reposting them on tumblr.
Jag är inte helt säker på att det är samma sak, heller. Min mor odlade en hel del olika grejer, och jag minns specifikt en hel del lökar och kål från Kina.
Ah cool! I only recalled the name “Kinesisk luftlök” but I wasn’t sure if it was the same thing. Thanks for the link.
There’s a particular variety of Chinese garlic that grows as a singular bulb. It originates in the Yunnan province, I think. I remember my mother growing it back when I was a child. It’s really nice!
Ah. I’ve had a lot of fun in Sea of Thieves. It was hella fun on launch, albeit quite unfortunately lacking in content. I’ve heard it’s gotten much better since, basically a different game altogether now.
At this rate society isn’t worth preserving.
It happens. Times past they’ve used buckets of seawater to save villages from encroaching lava. Icelanders are built different.
In non-Japanese cartoons as well. Jimmy Neutron is voiced by Debi Derryberry.
Fairy vagina??
I overall liked the first two seasons of Discovery but Michael and Klingonman’s relationship took too much space. It was too much melodrama and I felt like they could’ve done something more productive.
Tilly was probably my favourite character, but there’s a bunch of interesting ones they could’ve developed further. Did Tilly’s mushroom friend ever return?
I’m also hella disappointed they killed Hugh only to bring him back, like that plot line wasn’t interesting at all. I’m dead tired of burying the gays.
I support this.
