To be fair, the horse part is just green and brown. The sky and most of the color palette is from the locomotive puzzle. Not sure about gradient or time of day. So to me, the only real similarity is camera angle and perspective.

I hope I recall correctly: I was watching an episode of wan-show where they looked into a backpack returned from a miner after heavy wear, but little real damage. Live on the show they wanted to showcase the double bottom, so they cut into it (can’t recall if this was in the miners backpack or another one) and were surprized to realize there wasn’t a double bottom. Linus quickly assured, still live, that this would be handled for all customers.

LMG did blame the manifactures of the backpack for removing a layer in a late stage design adjustment, but LMG have also alledegly taken a huge cost on assuring customers that they can receive a new backpack for free if the bottom fails for any reason.

My memoery of this might be fuzzy, and the story I have heard comes fully from LMGs perspective, so take everything with a grain of salt.

But how do you apply this with Lorentz’ transformation (i.e. relativistic factors)? You cannot approach the speed of light without considering relativism. It is known that p = gamma * m * v where p is momentum, gamma is the gamma factor given by sqrt(1/(1 - (v^2/c^2))), m is mass and v is velocity. If you study the gamma factor, you’ll realize that it approaches infinite as v approaches c, the speed of light. Since we are actually dealing with light here, where v = c we are breaking the equation. Momentum cannot be defined for any mass which moves at the speed of light. It’s asymptotic at that speed.

Also note that the same goes for E = mc^2. At relativistic speeds, also this equation needs to consider the gamma factor. So those classical equations break down for light.

The answer is that photons don’t have mass, but they have energy. There is a good explanation a bit further up in this thread on how this is possible.

I don’t have anything to defend or oppose that argument, but if it’s true, why would disney have to be a part of the lawsuit at all? Isn’t it then just a terrible preemptive move to refer to terms of the Disney+ membership?

Ugh, I really don’t want to feed into conspiracy. I just want to explore the ideas of the conspiracy theories to have better arguments against them. So I wonder, have people talked about that Trump could see it as a win-win either if he got killed or not? If he realizes that he is of old age and wants his ideology passed on to younger generations, becoming some kind of martyr would serve as a boost to his case, and there are many followers of him who would be ready to take his place.

I guess that the problem with disproving conspiracy theories is that once you have a good argument, another crazier theory could easily emerge. I really hope that the investigations lead to some good, hard evidence and that this could be put to rest.

The perception of delay is a lot larger for a single initial delay than a lot of smaller delays within the game. It’s very noticable if a game takes 20 seconds to get past the intro screens, while it is barely noticeable if a quarter of a second of delay is added to the loading between each level, even if it adds up to a lot more than the initial loading screen.

Considering that the use of 5.1 surround would be a very rare case for the target aidience, I find the choice of dropping it to be excellent to enhance the experience.

I feel like recently developed games and apps expect the user to have a “moden” sized RAM, meaning that the decs don’t give a crap about optimizing RAM-usage.

It’s 100% nostalgia, and I hard refuse to ever touch that game again. I’m sure it’s terrible compared to my standards for games now. But the memories remain, and that’s fine.

I used to love Lego Racers. I knew all the tracks and shortcuts, and I knew exactly how to make my favorite racing car. I remember playing the game at home as well as at my friends’ houses, and I always made the same car design, as I was convinced it was the fastest. What a great game!

It’s honestly more of an arrogance thing. I have a nice drill, screws and different types of cold glue. I don’t want my projects to be anything like the crap I see in 5 Minute Crafts, so I avoid the tool. I know, it makes no sense, but so far I have never really needed a glue gun.

I have the same problem with most DIY-videos as I don’t own a glue gun.

I hate how people call things wireless when there are clealy wires in both the sender and receiver.

I’m guessing the gloves provide low and consistent friction theoughout the game. It’s probably easy to get either sweaty or dry fingers during a long run, which could probably ruin some precise movements.

It’s just my guess, though.
