China #1
Best friends with the mods at c/[email protected]
I’ve found that I have the most success with stuff I know fairly well. I’ll listen to Tolkien, Asimov, or King because I’ve read the books 10 times and if I miss a bit, I still know what is going on.
Oh for sure. I love a heavy read when I have time time to enjoy it, but I can’t eat 10lbs of beef for every meal. Sometimes I want a berry smoothie.
I work in a kitchen, most of the time by myself, so I throw an audio book on at double speed and I can crank through a 16 hour book in one shift. It helps to lighten the mental load of the work, especially during slower times where I get fidgety. I do understand the need for paper, I just don’t have the room for it. If there is a book that is important to me, then I’ll grab a physical copy, but if it’s some random sci-fi that I’m just testing out, I’m leaning hard into that Libby app to see if I’ll actually enjoy it.
I can go through 4 or more books a week depending on their length. I read a fuck ton. Using the Libby app to have books sent to my kindle automatically has really changed my life. Being able to just grab my kindle at any moment, read for 15 minutes while I wait for something, as well as an hour or two at the end of the night. It adds up quickly. I will say that I read a lot of “lighter” fare, so I can breeze through without much issue. If I get into something more heavy or some dense non-fiction it will slow down considerably.
I’m fucking dying right now.
Ok, but all they did is paint a hot guy like The Crow, give him a badass lightsaber, and put horns on his head. If they’d cast Gary Busey as Maul it would be a different story. A much more horrifying story.
He is so goddamned wholesome.
THESE PIPES ARE CLEEEEEAAAAANNNNN!
I mean… you went to Bing to search for a program. That’s something that a new or inexperienced user would do, and Bing tried to help. It gave a direct link to the software (a link which I just tested to be working and safe on a virtual machine), it instructed how to do it using the official website, and then as a third option, it gave a link to the website.
I know that a lot of people will automatically assume a site like Softonic is loaded with malware (and I don’t have the time to refute all of those claims) but the download they provided of the software was just a mirror of the official download and came with no added malware, spyware, or adware. Use at your own risk, but OP is pretty clearly fearmongering in an attempt to get people to give them internet points.
It was just that one time and he said he was sorry.
Project Farm, Nile Red, and Technology Connections are the best three channels on YouTube.
Sure, but they can’t get people to use it without utilizing the power of their competitor. You know, it’s like when a racing company steals a competitor’s car and then uses it to race against them. Totally legal. Definitely wouldn’t be banned.
“use this random third party app that bypasses all the ads so you can still use youtube”.
This has always been my beef with Rossman. He always has something to sell–not just sponsored content–his own apps and solutions. He comes off like a used car salesman, just pushing the hard sell and making you feel like an idiot for not jumping at the chance to give him money. I’m sure he has made some positive movement in privacy and right to repair, but every time he talks I just feel like he’s going to try to get me to sign up for a timeshare. I don’t trust him.
I was dating a girl that sold me on 1.0, and I was going to play it with her. We broke up, and 1.0 released, and I just said fuck it. It wasn’t until Heavensward that I came back. It kills me that in that time I lost my original key, so I don’t even have my swanky 1.0 survivor rewards.
I’m so glad I came back, though. It’s been my only MMO since then, and it just gets better with every new release.
Looks like it is coming to PC as well with the Steam page already up. Nice!
Goddamnit, I went through that whole fucking image.
I walk down the street and push anyone wearing a red shirt into traffic.
It didn’t tank this morning. It’s been going downhill for exactly a month.
