Get boots made for construction workers. They are on their feet and in boots all day. I got a pair of redwings a few decades ago and they were my daily walking shoes until I got a car.
It’s a total lack of the concept of scale. I’ve moved servers like this, but when decommissioning them. Things are different when running a corporate data center than when moving a home lab. He doesn’t grasp the difference, because he doesn’t understand the scale.
Running and moving one computer is different from 150k of them. Hooking them back up the the network without a plan or documentation must have been a challenge.

So this is exactly what the article is about and up to -4 f heat pumps are more efficient.
If your the son of an hvac guy maybe your information is based on older installed units. I had a heat pump installed in my fathers home in the northeast ( non coastal) and I was shocked it ran well all year. I had heard the some rumor that you had.
Technology advanced and facts change.
Pretty fantastic
Yes.
People always judge personal waste as something they don’t enjoy. It’s fun to hate on people who enjoy things.
I have never went but the people I know who go have been going so long that their kids are bringing their kids. It sounds like a great community event where most of the point is to meet the people who go there.
The desert is usually a good place to host a mass event since it is a flat large area. By definition rain is rare in a desert.
They can help when your body is under stress, illness, dieting, moderate exercise. otherwise the don’t do much.
This is an absolutely epic article from the BBC.
The true comparison is in miles per accident. Fatal accidents will be higher for older model cars. Not all Tesla cars have FSD. In many situations FSD is not available even on equipped cars. There is nothing to indicate from the current data that Telsa FSD is safer or more dangerous than the median driver.

There is affordable housing now, just not where you are. Lots of places that are high end now were at one time undesirable low rent places. Brooklyn and the West Side of Hollywood are both communities that originally drew people because of low quality, low cost of living accommodations.
Look to the rust belt cities that didn’t fully collapse to lead the charge. Detroit is stabilizing while still having low rent areas. Maybe Some places in Ohio and Buffalo NY as well.
You can buy a full on house in Rochester NY for under 40k but you may not want to live there.
Barring a calamity, nice places with high rents sort of stay that way. I can’t imagine high cost of loving areas like Boston, Denver , Hawaii or Miami going down for anything other than an asteroid. Prices are high in places that people want to live.
Depending on where you are from. No. If you live in a place where gangs can roam the street challenging the police, unemployment is 15+% and corruption is rampant. The USA will be better.
Yes. If you come from a place with moderate laws, healthcare and representative government the USA could be worse to much worse.
Sounds like you live in an expensive pocket, like near beach or a special neighborhood.
Use google to find gas near you it lists out prices . I was just in garden grove yesterday. Gas was 4.80 to 5.20. If you are driving a sports car that needs premium gas your going to pay more to enjoy more .
I took my extended family out in garden grove , 7 people for dinner at $130 before tip to a decent sit down place. McDonalds and Taco Bell at 6-10 for a meal.
Even near Disney in Anaheim prices are better than you listed out. I can grab a full meal at Denny’s for about 12-15.
When I first moved to ca I lived in a cool community where I could afford rent. Daily life was so expensive I was riding the bus an hour to get groceries.
Now pay more in rent and less in everything else in a boring place. Moving a few miles will make a difference for you.
Where do you live to see prices like that? Gas is 4.80 or so and no fast food is $15. That maybe is a fast casual restaurant.
So I don’t agree with it , but it may have something to do with ‘work’ there is part of Christianity that assigns value to work and that work will be rewarded by god. They are supposed to be works of faith, but some sects of Christianity assigns value to all work.
So they see riches as a just reward from god for being hardworking and honest. They inherently see riches as a reward for good work and poverty as a punishment for lack of ethic. As well anyone can better their position and get rich by becoming more aligned with god. So bring rich is an outward manifestation of one’s reward from God.
This is a simplification and extrapolates out a bunch of things.
This is not a zero sum game. I benefitted by finding Lenny and Lenny benefited from an influx of users.
Reddit hurt its self by damming the social contract with mods. That doesn’t help Lenny.
That isn’t a win, but reddit aren’t going away either.
This seems like it could be a bigger deal than it seems at first. Tesla sold partially on having much better range than competitors . If they used tactics to cover up the real world performance and had a team to specifically deny and deflect customers concerns other auto makers could get in the fray. Even a 10% variance would swing a consumer.
I’m looking for an ev and $ vs range mile is a big factor in my judgement. I’m not the only one.
“I’ve noticed that the Apple equipment has far less documentation on the whole.” Since the ios/macOS are closed source it’s falls more on Apple to provide documentation. Most of the good Apple resources are the programming references(https://developer.apple.com/).
Signing up as an Apple developer is a good way to get access to lots of information on ios/mac specific items. Most of home lab type stuff is going to be an adaptation of a 'nix process.
It’s frustrating since the programming references aren’t really great resources on how to do something though the UI. You have to figure out how the functionality you want is exposed.
