I’ve only used cura (no particular reason, just what was shown to me and I now know how to use it
However, I’ve heard good things about both prusa and klipper

Currently have been playing a fair amout Stormworks: Build and Rescue and the new Space dlc, unfortunately there are a fair amount of bugs but it’s still quite fun.
The other game I am playing a lot of is Deep Rock Galactic
I doubt windows either has or wants to have that functionality, given their more business/general purpose oriented focus, also the steam deck runs on Linux.
A part of me wonders if it would be possible to put the Linux distro/is of a steam deck onto a dedicated gaming computer to get some of the optimisations from it like that.
True, most of the really good and interesting stuff will take years, there will hopefully be initial findings sooner, more in the of months but you’re right that weeks is way too short
Oh cool, it’s finally back! I remember when it collected the sample, can’t wait to hear about all the stuff they find in the coming weeks and months
Ooh can you use thunderbird for Usenet? I already use it for desktop email but I might have to go try Usenet too just for the hell of it
~You mean lemmy? What ads?~ Took me sec but I now see you mean the article
I doubt it, because the plastics would almost completely burn off, and while the concentration might increase I don’t think it would ever be enough to leave behind substantial residue for quite some time. Plus most of the time ashed are kept in urns or distributed in places that already will have microplastics and other carcinogens
Yeah I’m not sure what the point about the moon waste is considering it’s likely inside the remainins of lunar landers. The real space junk to worry about is all the stuff in LEO that will cause problems with satellites and such in the near future
Also wagon wheel on pixel 7
The problem with direct air capture is that it only is good if it exclusively uses renewables, and right now it would be much better to instead use that energy to replace fossil fuels. Only excess renewable energy should be used for it, maybe in places like Scotland that have too much wind power. Capture directly from the source is also better as the concentration of carbon is much higher in the output from a smokestack, and as such has more impact and is more energy efficient too
The thing is, there is some merit to the idea that some of these jobs will be threatened by AI, but not quite in the ways people seem to be obsessed with, which is being fully replaced. This is just like any other advance in software, with better tools being created that allow fewer people to do the same amount of work. There are certain parts that truly cannot be done yet, and you still need to have someone that knows how it is supposed to work using the AI not just a manager.
I’m also starting strattera but haven’t had a lot of this. What dosage are you taking? I started on a low dose and am now ramping up to 40mg. If you are on a higher dose it might be why you have all the bad things, lowering it may help.
Also I question the accuracy of this data anyways, according to the article it’s only a sample size of a little over 7k people. Also anecdotally as a current college student I have not had any exclusionary behavior towards me as an android user, and know that some of my friends also use Android but tbh it just doesn’t come up in conversation either.
I think the problem is more that they don’t want to have to do those things on every single wheel, the microchips make identification easier. Also worth noting that many things can be physically and/or chemically identical but still have different value due to the way it was produced, some things that come to mind are power and hydrogen. They can both be produced in many ways, with some in more environmentally friendly ways than others, and the consumer may care about that.
To be fair the majority of those things are still produced abroad, particularly Vietnam has a lot of semiconductor manufacturing, and biden dumping money into domestic production is specifically to try and fix the problem of outsourcing
These things have been around for a few years on the college campus in my hometown, it’s not that new and they do work fairly well. Might be that it was a testing ground though
I think they mean resource intensive as in it literally took more physical material to build them, which costs more.
In theory it should be mostly fine to touch, idk much about it either unfortunately. it might be a good idea to put some sort of spray on sealer if you will be touching it regularly and are concerned about it at all.
It is definitely dangerous to sand or cut with a saw or something, definitely want to do that outside with gloves and a respirator because then you’re getting loose fibers both on you and airborne.
