This is what Quora feels like to me, every gd time
Oh my god, I completely forgot about checking out shadows today!!
Thank you for helping me accurately quantify the way I’ve been feeling toward this meme
Thanks for taking the feedback and continuing to work on this. Honestly, I thought you had given up on the app when you went on that fishing trip that just seemed to keep continuing 😆. Not knocking you - everyone deserves time to themselves. But glad to see this app is still something you’re working on!
Ok I’ll give you that - being able to inline gifs is sick
Honestly, it’s a couple things. First of all is just general compatibility. There are certain domains that don’t play at all (redgifs, for example). They just show up as links to click. Then, there are ones that are a little more transient, but still negatively affect the UX. An example is if you browse [email protected] right now. The first post there (https://aussie.zone/post/6569161) won’t load for me in the feed, and will only load if I click into the post. Once it’s loaded, I can go back out and it’ll play in the feed - but no matter how many times I try or how long I wait, it won’t play in the original feed. Additionally, the play/pause, sound controls, and scrubbing controls are only available if I click into the post. They work, but it’s less convenient.
Here are examples of my experience in both apps:
Avelon (and I forgot to show you can scrub the gif directly in the feed)
Idk, the lackluster support for gifs has kinda killed it for me. I’m finding Avelon to be a much closer replacement
Beautiful pic. I’d happily hang this in my house.
I know this is simple but dammit did it get a serious laugh out of me, thank you
I know this is a joke but as a burgeoning espresso snob, I can’t help myself from explaining:
A ristretto’s importance is in its stronger coffee flavor. It’s the same amount of coffee, but with less water run through the grounds. In a standard espresso, that last little bit of coffee added beyond a ristretto pull is much more watery, and so it mellows out the flavor. A ristretto is sharper and more of a punch. In my opinion, its most effective use is in a flat white, in which the aim is to remove as much water from the equation as possible and really let the coffee flavor shine through into the smaller amount of milk. Both ingredients’ flavors are more apparent in a flat white than in, say, a latte, which is in some regards a watered down flat white.
