  • I eat shrimp unpeeled. Learned to do it from Vietnamese restaurants. It’s not bad! It saves a shitton of time peeling them, the spices are usually on the outside so you get more flavor, and the shell gives a nice crunch. I don’t eat the tailfins tho that’s dumb. They’re hard, pointy, and have no meat.

That said… I advocate for finding ways to incorporate insects into western diets. I think we need to start a program to breed them for purpose though. Just like how bananas used to be small and full of seeds but were bred to what they are today. Breed a grubworm or something to be better eatin’ and grow them in huge quantities. But no way am I eating a roach.

  • You do you. But I would like to point out that prime encourages excessive consumption of crap we all don’t need. Maybe this bullshit will let you consider dumping prime altogether and perhaps you will find that it isn’t missed.

Personally I do buy stuff from amazon on occasion. Like windshield wipers of odd sizes. But the lack of two day shipping is a good moderator to help me curb my american programmed buy-fucking-everything-to-fill-that-hole-inside mentality.

  • Yeah, those behemoths all share responsibility for killing the mom and pop stores. It’s not impossible to shop around to local variants. But probably the best solution is to learn how to kick the habit that American culture has foisted upon us all of buying endless piles of useless crap.

I cancelled my prime subscription years ago. I occassionally restart it for a month at a time if I need some esoteric hobby thing and I would be forced into paying for shipping or for prime. Then I’ll watch some stuff on their streaming service. Last time I used it, it was awful. Half of the shows were gatekept behind some ad system. And the “Amazon Originals” are all just extraordinarily expensive shows with terrible writing. Uhg. I am making it a point to not have an active prime subscription when Christmas rolls around. We (the collective we, as in, humanity) don’t need more garbage.

  • OneDrive is really just an alias for a networked drive that points to a cloud location and is baked into every instance of Windows. Most OneDrive instances are for personal computers and they’re inaccessible to everyoen else. But you can manually share files.

SharePoint is a flexible enterprise website and fileserver for an organization to customize.

Teams is a Slack ripoff that allows employees to create teams with channels within those teams, and freeform chats. It also has a filesharing component to it.

It is awful to work around the half-dozen ways to store and share files. Really. Microsoft needs to unfuck this.
