My boss printed me three LEGO bricks when he got his 3D printer (everyone here knows I am an AFOL = Adult Fan Of Lego). I have no idea what kind of printer that was, but the bricks were very detailed. Now they have totally warped out of shape. Normal AA or AAA battery, or a CR<something> button? If it is a button cell, try wiping it with alcohol before you insert it. Many modern button cells have a coating that tastes horrible to prevent people (children) from taking them into the mouth. I’ve noticed that on some brands, this coating measurably increases the resistance of the cell, not only reducing the the power it can deliver, but als making it appear “emptier” than they are ofor the measuring circuits. Wiping off the coating with alcohol (90% isopropanol) expanded the cells’ life (in a kitchen scale to boot!) significantly.

That’s how I got a free netbook. The netbook had 32GB flash with windows and office occupying 27+GB. Then windows wanted to do an update - with an 8+GB file. Spot the problem. And windows can get quite annoying with updates. As the netbook could not be expanded, and attempts to redirect the update to a USB stick did not work, a newer netbook was bought, and I got the old one. We only had one group visiting on Halloween. But that’s due to a decline of Halloween in general in this area - the fad is over. Here it basically started when our kids were young, and there were maybe five to ten groups coming through. But after a few years, it simply declined.

I still buy some sweets - I don’t want to disappoint kids - but whatever is left goes into the sweets bowl at work.

Erstens ist das nicht das Problem der Politik, sondern der Industrie, die ja irgendwas verkaufen will. Und zweitens hätte die Industrie damit schon vor vielen Jahren anfangen müssen, statt jetzt hinter den Chinesen herzuglotzen. Das Management hat sich auf dem Erfolg der Verbrenner ausgeruht und diesen Erfolg in Rückkäufe, Dividenden und Boni investiert statt in zukunftsweisende Forschung und Entwicklung.

Das passiert, wenn man Manager wursteln lässt: Kurzfristiger Aktienkurs und Dividende sind halt wichtig, langfristige Überlebensfähigkeit geben keine Boni.

Aber der Leerstand ist auch verständlich. Wer will schon in ein Bundesland, wo heute noch 1933 ist?

In anderen Worten: Sie will gar nicht in die Regierung, sondern will Opposition bleiben, wo man so schön und ohne Konsequenzen stänkern kann. Und die CDU soll schuld an dem Versagen der Gespräche haben.
