  • Best rally Sim is definitely debatable, but it most definitely still holds up pretty well against more modern rally sims like Dirt Rally 2.0, and that is insane enough considering it’s age. The mods for RBR have definitely extended its lifespan.

The physics in RBR still feel better to me than the modern rally games like Dirt Rally 2, and WRC9 and what not, and that is incredibly impressive. I will say the modern games are better for competitive play and obviously have better graphics and immersion.

  • Dirt Rally 2 with even a cheap driving simulator setup is incredible. It’s like the dark souls of racing games, and doesn’t hold your hand at all.

Assetto Corsa is another great one with a simulator. The amount of mods, cars, and tracks added to the game has made enough content to keep someone entertained for probably their whole life.

Really, any modern racing game that uses wheel and pedals are amazing compared to what existed before that. Luckily, even the good direct drive wheels and good pedal setups have gotten more affordable in recent times.

It probably depends on slight differences in regional dialect. Where I am from I would say woman and women are often pronounced pretty similarly, while man and men are easier to tell apart.

In my region, woman is often pronounced with an ‘uh’ sound, like womuhn. It’s pretty easy to confuse with women. I have noticed that people in my area will sometimes vary up the ‘wo’ part of women and woman depending on which one they are using. So women becomes ‘wimen’, and woman becomes ‘wumuhn’.

Also, ‘debauchery’, in this case just means more people are happier being themselves, and loving who they want to love, more than almost anytime in history.

These kind of people ignore all the regular kind of debauchery, like priests committing sexual abuse against children.

  • It really is.

I guess if I had to pick I’d definitely choose the lifetime of prison, but with the harem, or whatever. It would still get old pretty quick, I imagine. I understand the eventual insanity, for sure.

I definitely feel worse for the women in that situation, but maybe they were allowed to rotate out and leave, at the very least.

  • I’ve seen you mention the oil heiress thing a couple of times. The heiress in question is Aileen Getty. She helped found the Climate Emergency Fund which is basically used to fund nonviolent climate protests like these.

The emergency climate fund also supported the Dutch protests against the fossil fuel industry that ended with the Dutch government proceeding with a plan to end fossil fuel subsidies.

The emergency climate fund has had some success against the fossil fuel industry, so I don’t think there is any evidence that this thing is a psyop to get public opinion to be against climate protesters.

It’s very possible that Aileen Getty actually feels bad about how her family gained its fortune, and she is trying to reverse the damage by donating to these causes. If this was a fossil fuel industry psyop, they would do a much better job at hiding who was funding it.

If there was no competition in the world, would there still be Nazis? If everyone had their needs met, would there still be racism on that scale?

Its a hard question for me. The OG Nazi party was born out of the desperation of post WWI Germany. If the world would’ve come together after WWI and decided to work together on a global scale, Germany would have been rebuilt with the help of the rest of the world, and Hitler’s words would have at least struggled to reach anyone.

I realize this is all a very hypothetical, fairy tale, line of thinking. I am most definitely on team “punch a Nazi”, myself. I just wonder if it would be the same if the world wasn’t a hyper competitive capitalistic battleground.

  • As a fellow meat eater, I appreciate the spotlight being shown on the cruelty of the meat industry at large, as well as you do. It has made me more conscious of my meat consumption, and I have reduced my consumption of it. It has also made me aware of sourcing more ethical meat from local butchers that are supplied by local free range farms.

I hope that this awareness continues to spread, and it helps speed up the development of things like lab grown meat and other more ethical sources of meat, in general.
