I’m not disagreeing that racism is wrong. It’s abhorrent and a gleaming example of the fact our species hasn’t evolved outside of technology.

But it’s ridiculously easy to be racist. It’s so fuckin easy it’s crazy. It’s like getting addicted to drugs. One instance is all it could take. One bad experience.

This is coming from someone who used to be racist. Because my first experience with a black person as a child was horrible. A grown ass man screaming at a child due to a misunderstanding but I was white so I had to be a racist.

It took a long time to get over that and realize why it happened but in between all I could think was black people are mean bastards because they think all white people are racist.

Outside groups are dangerous. That’s true even within racial groups. Now add that not only are they outsiders they don’t look anything like your group. That’s another layer of outsiders being dangerous. Not only are they outsiders but they don’t look like you.

It’s a leftover piece of evolution that helped humans survive. Protect your own and everyone else can get fucked. Especially if they’re different.

I don’t buy that. It’s possible but the producers always want to make it “theirs” and it’s not. It’ll never be theirs. The best they could do is just follow the source material as much as possible.

No one cares about your “quirky” changes. And this is quite evident in all the video game tv series that fail. Because the source material was basically thrown away completely. Because they think we’ll gobble up anything just because of the name.

They generally don’t work as movies because no one ever follows the story that’s right in front of them. They always add some stupid artistic bullshit preference of their own which causes a huge disconnect from the source material.

Honestly imo there’s no reason these services aren’t 24/7. They are necessary for modern living and therefore shouldn’t be constrained due to shift schedule.

If people are working during the night then all essential services should be open 24/7

One thing I’ve always loved about halo is how the elites design their ships.

They don’t put the bridge at the front with open weaknesses like windows (regardless of material) the bridge of a covenant ship is buried in the center. The most armored and protected part of the entire ship.

Strategically it makes the most sense. Why would you put your commanding officers where the enemy can easily snipe?
