I just want another mini phone, it’s nice they are making them lighter but I want something I can use with one hand. Not a brick that’s been sliced slightly thinner. I want another iPhone mini with usb c and better battery life

If it’s that important to them then get them an iPhone? But then they will just get bullied if their iPhone isn’t new enough so maybe the problem isn’t the bubble color after all but the bullying.
When RCS is implemented, even if the bubble color is still green, the rich media features being available is going to eliminate the pain points of messaging between platforms. The bullies might still bubble shame but everyone else will stop caring.
The fediverse is just hugely left-wing and with a lot of far-flung left wing posters to boot. It’s not an astroturf campaign just a place a lot of outsiders gather.
I don’t know who would pay for this, there isn’t really any moneyed interest that would gain from turning public opinion against meat
News++ is great but I don’t know if I’d subscribe to it outside of the fact it’s included in the bundle
If you self-host all the same services you have the same exposure level if root on your hosting machine is compromised. I suppose it depends on how confident you feel in how agile you can patch if a vulnerability becomes known in postfix for example. I wouldn’t consider self hosting something that reduces your cybersecurity risk typically
Isn’t Tommy working for colecovision?
Edit: we have too many visions from the late 70s/early 80s
Looks like you’re going to the Shadow Realm, Jimono
Has no one really done an RTA 70 star ABC before now?
I love the concept of this challenge, good on this lad for doing this, I thought most strats were TAS only.
I saw someone suggest they connect their switch dock directly to the internet elsewhere on Lemmy. Granted the attack surface for a switch is basically non existent but if people are suggesting that then certainly people are still connecting their other machines directly to their modems/CPEs as well
What was there to apologize for? I guess good on them for responding in a respectful manner to all different viewpoints but it’s just an ad, not a political statement
I think everyone has been forecast this for a while with inflation. The consumer has been more resilient than expected but I think leave finally reached the point where everyone who wants an iPhone has one, and we’ve ran out of disposable income to upgrade Willy Nilly. Really not much reason to upgrade if you have an 11 or newer
Brilliant I had no idea this functionality existed in shortcuts! Thanks
You could use PWA web app emulators like afterplay.io but native app emulators were always banned from the App Store until now
Even though the PlayStation logo wail always made me feel uncomfortable, if I had an cd in the PS1, booting to the save manager/audio player creeped me out even more
Apple Music is really lacking on Mac (or at least on my ancient Air that stopped getting updated a couple years ago)
But I can’t say I have any issue with it on iOS or iPadOS
Probably a Link to the Past. Although I’ve only played the games in the series up to Link’s Awakening so that might change although the game would have to be pretty damn good
Because it doesn’t specifically call out allowing users to bring their own content but does call out allowing developers to distribute their own makes me skeptical that Apple would approve a stand alone emulator with out games (because there is no point to the app) and wouldn’t approve an emulator with games that breaks copyright, maybe the way around it would be including some homebrew ROMs with it.
They haven’t removed ScummVM in the past so it could be possible but based off of other developer experiences I have my doubts how these rules will be enforced
The RPG mechanics didn’t ruin the genre although I did prefer the mechanics of earlier CoDs where in multiplayer everything is unlocked and you just use whatever you want.
What ruined the genre was the free-to-play style monetization and season pass paid update model.
Black Ops 2 was the first CoD to have paid skins, but we would have no idea how bad things would become. By the time Fortnite came along the multiplayer FPS genre was already long ruined
