Yea, kinda. It forces it hard though.
There is no obvious way to skip the MS account. You can select that it is a managed device and create a local user that way, but afaik that’s the last option left and obviously it is there for a very different intention.
I am sure that if MS could remove it completely they would.
You did not, you said that you do not mind or care. No one wants them there except the pedophiles themselves.
The people have problems, but they need other help than acceptance. It does not work, it is abuse and the LGBTQ+ community always clearly distanced themselves from them.
Implying any connection at all is dishonest and a huge disservice to all people under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. Hence it is a terrible take.
How did we get here? What a bad take. Consent is obviously required, it's that simple.
Neither children nor animals can consent therefore they are not welcome in any shape or form. This also excludes rape and other forms of abuse from any LGBTQ+ space/group/community.
So what? If BDSM folks feel represented by LGBTQ+ they have every right to be part of it. What's wrong with BDSM anyway?
Not like LGBTQ+ promotes anything at all besides that it is okay to be who you are.
None of the tools are really made for the most trivial use cases though. Although it doesn’t take much effort to set everything up in a simple project I would probably also skip most of it. But this discussion about tiny one off projects is kinda pointless as you don’t have many of the problems to solve anyway.
I implemented a reddit frontend (kiosk mode) a while back using only vanilla JS for fun, because a previous implementation by someone else broke. There was not really a point though as it wasn’t even simpler than using the proper tools. It was just for the hell of it, but nowhere close to a “real” project.
And the simple answer is no. You can remove a layer here and there, but this is what the modern dev environment looks like.
I mean sure you can implement all that yourself and carry all the extra cognitive load, but it is not productive to even skip babel or so. There is no point, but the challenge.
Of course it is a bit more complicated to pick the right tools and you don’t have to use everything, but that’s a whole different discussion.
You always have linter steps, testing etc and a competent developer should be able to deal with all that. Of course you don’t start with all this with new students, but I don’t think that is what this post is about.
That’s fine. The problem lies in talking about their works which might encourage others to buy the books or merchandise etc. Unfortunately the best result would be if the work and the author would be forgotten, but that’s unlikely to happen. So at least when talking about the works it should never be omitted that the author is a horrible person who abuses her influence to hurt other people.
Hence I disagree with the take. This way around the work should not be separated from the creator, because popularizing it is enabling even if you won’t consume any more than what you already have, others might.
Why though? I think I am missing the point, but I don’t see the problem with having a build step in your projects. Especially for frontend it is not just JavaScript, but things like Sass/SCSS to consider etc.
I am playing Railbound after it got on sale this week. Some of the extra levels are really hard and I have yet to find a solution.
Overall it is a fun little game which works great on the Steam Deck.
No offense, but just no. If you don’t like the art, but the artist that’s fine, absolutely no problem here, but supporting a person like J. K. Rowling financially by consuming their creation is actually a problem and should be opposed.
This view is enabling horrible people and not okay.
This is just clickbait.
I watched the video and he is missing the point by trying to be in the center of the debate. There is either discrimination or acceptance and not much of a middle ground.
Points 1-5 are obvious and nobody should be confused about any of that. Of course he is right here and water is wet.
6 is actually a real problem, but it cannot be solved. Either you discolose it yourself which either leads to outing or staying in the closet or people assume for you which also leaves you in the closet. In my groups we stopped asking about pronouns to not put anyone on the spot, but there is no satisfying solution to this problem.
Of course you can demand others to refer to you in a way, the same way you provide a name. It is very much a social expectation and here the video is missing the point. Either you respect the other person or discriminate them, there exists no middle ground. It is the same as refusing to use their name. There is also no distinction if you disrespect them to their face or behind their back (talking to others about them).
I was about to write the same thing. Really the object thing is the whole reason to use ORMs.
Using plain SQL is a compatibility and migration nightmare in medium and bigger sized projects. If anything using plain SQL is just bad software design at least in an OOP context.
Two weeks? I would throw away the whole fridge if I left any food in there for two weeks.
Most foods are okay for around two days without any problems. Some foods may last up to 5 days if they are salty or contain some vinegar, but it requires throughout heating to be save at this point.
I would never eat anything older than that which has been exposed to air. It’s a biohazard!
