Another thing that adds to the fun: the meaning of words to different people.

A more extreme example is a story I vaguely remember where one person thought of “it tastes good” as somewhat negative, while the other actually meant “really good”/quite positive. Or something along those lines

I’ve seen some people talking about how the lemmy developers are planning for the ability to “group” communities (of the same name or something like that) on different instances together.
I’m taking this as those communities then forming one community that doesn’t have to rely on a single instance’s community to “survive”.
Haven’t put too much thought into this but I think that would at least lessen that problem, especially for new niche subjects popping up. The difficulty for existing niche communities starting anew here will probably remain but I’m hopeful for the future.

I don’t think they’d expected you to mean reddit made it all up. I didn’t either, but with what’s been happening I wouldn’t be as surprised anymore…

I couldn’t find any to describe that specifically, but I remembered a word for the feeling when you’re trying to brush your hair and some stick to the brush so they’re getting pulled along, not necessarily ripped out though. “Ziepen”

Gets asked “Well, aside from the fact that my fashion sense is pretty much non-existent, I think it would look great :D”

My default response to everything that doesn’t seem inappropriate even for me. And depending on who’s asking/how they’re asking, I might leave the beginning out to avoid them falling into doubts again. So much to consider

Personally, I like getting together at someone’s house, play some games, have some music (more as background noise most of the time) and maybe some drinks, though I prefer to stay sober and able to think straight. I usually decline going to a bar, unless it’s some special occasion, and then I’m mostly glued to some wall near my group while trying to maintain some form of overview of the situation.
