It had its issues, but for the time it was good. Probably depended on the machine and what you were running. That was back in the days when making things work meant the right drivers, and the Win98SE CD usually made it work.
ME was so bad that MS forgot about it themselves. I bought a new laptop with ME installed that ran terribly, replaced it with 98 and it ran great.

98SE, XP, and 7 each were relatively solid for their time. They all had issues, but were far better at being an OS than what we have now or are trying to be sold to constantly upgrade to.

It depends on your personality and life. If you have kids or others to care for, or a social life, or anything else tied to the day-night cycle, then yeah, it sucks. No traffic on the road is huge, I don’t see how people deal with even just moving rush hour day after day. cue opening scene of Office Space Nope, I’m good with this.

I don’t even think it’s symbolism from the Klingon’s perspective. It’s a bit different with the Trill extra personality there, but the objection is the actual point. That’s still Dax in there, even though they look different now.
Shorten the work week, give better pay per hour for when you’re there, allow remote working wherever it makes sense, lots of other things to make an employee feel better about their work and also give them the opportunity to live life outside the job. Amazingly it’s been found that companies that do things like that not only have better production results, they retain people longer. I know, who would have guessed?
The only reason that episode didn’t get to me the first time I saw it was because it wasn’t realistic enough, i.e. too clean. The comic does a better job. Probably restricted because of the network, although we saw some gruesome stuff even in the first season.

A variant would be that we’re on the Third Body Problem alternate timeline, where everyone in the Dark Forest already knows about us and don’t do anything simply because we are our own worst enemy and will take care of ourselves.

I can see that as a deal breaker. Odd that they don’t have multiple slots at this point, that’s been a thing with games forever.
This was called the minute they put the PPP loan idea together. Where’s the oversight? How can fraudulent claims be avoided? The PPP loss still wasn’t as big as the blank checks given to major corporations like airlines to keep the economy machine rolling. And in one sense I’m okay with government stepping in to avoid disaster, that’s one of their jobs. It’s just so many of these companies got free money that they really didn’t need to stay alive, all because they smelled the opportunity…plus they took money that smaller businesses needed and no longer exist.
