  • There are tons of reasons why one might not want to change their name. At a minimum you have to send a form to the state, update any licenses you have, contact your banks, your insurance, your place of work… Best case scenario it’s an annoying hassle to deal with.

Was I appreciative when my wife took my name? Sure. But that’s mostly because we also share the same first name so it’s hilarious to share the same last name. But I told her many times before we got married she didn’t need to do it. I never expected that out of her.

If having a matching name is a big deal with you, then you can change your name.

Can someone educate me on this one? I understand people hate their jobs and would rather be doing something else, and maybe under socialism there are more opportunities to do stuff you enjoy, but there still is work to be done. Would the work not still have start times and end times throughout the week?

Like, ditch the shitty corporate job and make art or something fulfilling. But you’ll still have to go to work on Monday? (Okay, maybe art is a bad example because that would be more contract based and you’d work as needed, but the question still stands)

  • I see that now on my third re-read. 😂😭😂😭😂

I am practicing my proper grammar skills. I read somewhere that you are supposed to italicize products when you use them in a sentence and I wanted to try it for some dumb reason.

If it helps, I am not a bot nor do I strictly endorse this product. Traditional floss and floss picks are way better.

I only like this product because I have a permanent retainer, flossing to get under this thing is a pain.

In the spirit of good health, something is better than nothing!

    – I am actually a dentalologist

  • Just in case, because the Internet is weird: this comment was satire. My dentist is actually a cool dude and my dental hygienist is amazing.

Take care of your teeth y’all! 🦷🪥

You only get one set, and it’s a long life!

I hate the aftertaste of coffee. Simply using GUM Soft Picks and brushing my teeth after my morning coffee in addition to my before-bed brushing has really improved my dental health.

  • I don’t give a fuck about sending my children on a trans field trip. Everyone should be comfortable and happy with their bodies. Spreading knowledge and education on the subject is key to achieving this!

Fuck dentists though! They just like to SCRAPE at your teeth. They make your gums BLEED. They charge you money for these OBSCENE services?!? They think they are so smart because they are a dOcToR.

If you are trans, that is cool and I love you for who you are. However, you won’t get a pass from me for spreading your dentalism ideologies to my kids!!! 😤😤😤😤 🦅🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲

  • Not Canadian but I’m in an area of the U.S Midwest that is known for cold winters and I feel similar. At this time of year, I’ve always worn layers when I go running outside. Typically 3 layers of clothes, but even at “record highs” before this year I would have at least a Thermo undershirt under my outer shirt.

This entire month, and I’m not exaggerating, I have been able to wear the tank tops I wear during summer. News casters keep saying, “look at all of this wonderful weather we’re having,” but this is not the winter I would’ve signed up for.

I honestly think there’s a gray area here and it’s worth talking to a lawyer if anything. There are certainly some protections for peoples under 40. Being denied a promotion because you’re “too young” is certainly a protection. The catch is you have to prove it.

This case is easy to prove though if there are any laws over this.

Edit: but now that I think about it, this is only really a protection if you’re already hired at the place. If you just slam the door on people before they can get in, discrimination seems to be legal.
