It wouldn’t be colonial, though. Britain didn’t start its switch to the metric system until 1965. The colonists wouldn’t have been using metric, seeing as they came from Britain.

Eh, there are still metal fans that would attend a show if they played a set.
Nah, really?!?
Yep! I just saw that article this morning. We aren’t the epicenter of the heatdome, but we are in it.
Hell yeah could have filmed their music video for “Hush” in this place, and the weather would have just been an added touch.
It’s pretty much normal, for this area, except for the 110F forecast for this week. To go from mild 80’s weather to that, this early in June is odd.
Honestly, I would have expected her music to be played at a retreat for Southern Baptists. That’s where I find the humor. Isn’t she part of the Baptist side of Jimmy Carter’s family tree? Don’t ask me to prove it, but don’t ask me to be a Swiftie, either.
Actually, I caught him drinking water from the a/c condensation leak. I brought him a plastic tub full of water, took a few steps back, and he hopped over to it and began drinking it. I think he needed help.
The legs made me think it was an owl at first, too, but as I got closer, and saw the face and head, I realized it was a hawk. This one might be the same one I posted in a previous picture, but I notice more white on its tail than in past days.
Celebrities? When was the last time politicians served jury duty? When was the last time they were even summoned?
Ad, or not, this situation actually occurred.
The tl;dr as a photo for those who didn’t click the link:
Good point! I didn’t think of that. When I run laps in the afternoon, it probably does scare the field mice around the driveway.
That would make one really cool pet, if it was.
Uh, I don’t think I found that snake for the bird. I hate snakes. I’m glad it found that snake for me. I would hate to have stepped on it.
I held my arm out at this bird, after it sat there, squawking at me, and I swear it flew away immediately. It does not trust people. I tried to step closer toward it for a better picture, it looked at me, let out a cry, and flew away.
Oh. Hahaha!😆
I see that name and all I can think about is Arrested Development. My husband was addicted to that show when we were together. Am I missing something, though? I mean, does the bird look like a Tobias to you, or something?
Nope. I don’t live there. I had a job offer there once, and I turned it down for a job in Northern California. Piece of advice, if you don’t have close family in any area that offers you a job, don’t move there. It won’t last.
