The voyager probes only got as far as they did because of their trajectory that got some massive (and rare) slingshots, it will take ages for the new horizons probe to get anywhere near as far.
We could probably spam missions to some other planets, who will pay for it though? We are not at the stage where an 'out of the box’s mission can do that I think?
They HAVE improved, I got my previous GPU RMAed because their latest driver version had a bug in it that turned off the fans and cooked it…
That was about the same time as games like overwatch just wouldn’t work for months at a time.
Now, things mostly work (less greenscreen crashes than before), but are just not as good as Nvidia’s seem to be.

Is the fact that C# produced executables also a problem? With python you can ‘protect’ non lab computers at the school by just not installing the python runtime on them. Teach them c# and I guarantee they will be making executables to cause trouble.
Generally agree with you that teachers should be able to choose at least one of the languages to teach. basic web dev stuff is probably pretty useful to them though if it includes JavaScript?
I leant from scratch as my first programming language in year 12.
They tried to teach OOP in year 13, but I didn’t really get it until university.
This was years ago at this point, I think they introduced the programming GCSE the year after I did my A-Levels.
A scripting language like python is the ideal language to start with because you can JUST learn the programming bit without worrying about OOP, project structures, compiling etc.
Lots of us have the experience of being the kid in that situation though. I learnt python in secondary school.

The strange thing here substitution wise is that IMO fake chicken is closer to real chicken in quality than fake beef is (that you can get as mince anyway). So it’s easier to substitute out the chicken than the beef.

I love my prusa mini, but if your using it for practical stuff, the size of it’s build area can be limiting.
Buying online is probably easiest.
I can’t speak about the printer choices (I have a prusa mini), but I can talk a little about miniature printing.
At the level of detail you probably want, filament dryness is vital. Damp filament strings loads and generally doesn’t print cleanly, losing you all the detail.
When you start off, you should be fine as long as you put your spools back in their bag with the dessicant pouches (could be worth buying more). But once you can, either making/getting a dry box or buying a filament dryer is probably worth it.
Looking it up, it doesn’t sound like it. Looks to be planned for later this month.
My understanding is that they are making the economy harder and completely removing the government subsidies that small cities get that make them absurdly easy. Other changes include making utility exports less lucrative and roads etc more expensive.
Has the economy 2.0 patch launched?
Maybe I could have been more explicit. Without the planetary alignment that made the voyager probes possible an equivalent mission would be ridiculously expensive/impossible due to the fuel requirements (and wouldn’t be able to visit all of the planets)
If starship/new glen/the rocket lab one work, it might become more feasible.
Instead, sending smaller, simpler probes that just visit one planet/moon would be much more cost effective, but still expensive.
We have already got a lot of the low hanging planetary science fruit from existing missions. New missions would need new/novel sensors or need Landers/aircraft which make them much more expensive.
Even just a ‘standard’ interplanetary mission isn’t just an out of the box job like current earth satalites are becoming.
