Hi. I’m a bit of a news junkie.
Appreciate the recognition, @[email protected]! I’m glad you find my posts useful.
Wow, thanks for the recognition, [email protected]!
But as an iPhone that expands to an iPad? I’d like to see something like that.
Motorola showed off a similar concept last year: https://www.phonearena.com/lg-rollable-phone-release-date-price-features-news
That’s awesome. Where can I get it?
Pro tip: if you want to get on the locals’ good side, call the city Saigon instead.
What’s your holiday tomorrow?

Scored myself a bidet during that TP shortage at the beginning of COVID lockdown and it’s been a game changer. Get one because your butt will especially thank you after a spicy Thai or Indian night. Spicy poo and mud butt? What are those?
I still use TP, but it’s now for drying off.

iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 include a new Screen Distance feature that can alert you when you hold an iPhone or iPad too close to your eyes for an extended period. Apple says the opt-in feature is designed to help lower the risk of nearsightedness in children by encouraging healthy viewing habits, and can help reduce eye strain overall.
Hell yeah
But buried in the keynote was a macOS feature that Apple should have called out with more fanfare: DirectX 12 support for macOS. As PC gamers already know, this software support means the floodgates are open for some real games — not that casual Apple Arcade stuff — on Mac. Maybe, just maybe, this is the beginning of the end to the old joke that Macs can’t play AAA games.

MicroWave here. Yeah, I gradually switched over to posting news when lemmy.world reached 100k users. I remember that was one of the ways reddit and digg grew in their infancy, so I wanted to try to replicate that.
