You and I are the same.
You and I are the same.
One word.

That’s EXACTLY what I did with my son.
He won’t feel cheated when he’s older either. He’ll thank me
I cannot understand these Reich households pay such pathetic wages to their workers! Surely percent-wise the difference between a living wage and a below-subsistence slavery “wage” is unnoticeable to them, but still they do it.
But I did work for a rich business owner who was debating why he couldn’t get good workers. When I pointed out he was paying the national minimum wage to his starting workers, he seemed surprised and asked me if I thought he should raise it.
So some people are just out of touch. I remember some celebrity being surprised when they saw a code scanner at the supermarket, not realizing the technology existed.
I think sometimes when a rich person sees their servant in their wealthy home setting it doesn’t occur to them that that person is desperately poor. Sometimes.
I also believe some people are well aware of what they’re doing, and (I believe) will burn in Hell for it.
Read the post by TrippyFocus. I didn’t realize it at the time, but he literally caused them.
My father is a lifelong democrat. My mother is a naturalized citizen from Great Britain. I was in high school during Jimmy Carter’s presidency. I was mocked in high school for making a presentation where I advocated for disarmament.
All that being said, the presidency of Jimmy Carter was one of the scariest and most upsetting presidencies I can remember. I had never experienced inflation of that level before. The gas shortages and rationing and concern about whether we were going to have the ability to carry out the basic functions we needed to complete was real. It was the first experience we had with worldwide terrorism, and there were over 300 Americans being held hostage in a foreign land with no sign of progress.
Jimmy Carter was no doubt a good man. I believe he was woefully underqualified to run the country. I know that he is lauded these days, but I’m telling you from the perspective of someone who lived through his presidency, it was not a good time for me or my family.
As one of the posts here makes clear, he wasn’t even good from a Democrat point of view.
Not hijacking, sharing. It’s life-changing, but can also be frustrating. You have to let go of the past, because the present will present you with plenty of difficulty even knowing what’s wrong. But there’s joy, and love too. And part of that comes from telling people you know.
I encourage you to take a risk on someone you feel has the empathetic ability to receive the information you have. If there isn’t someone, then try a therapist, they’re good at listening and you have no history with them, a perfect combo!
Banned, unbanned, rebanned (accidentally), sustained (for some unexplained reason)
Thank you. That really is nice.
It was fresh, and right on the heels of me getting ready for the doctor and completely not thinking that my wife needed to get ready too. She felt uncared for, and I had to explain, again, that the thought just never crossed my mind.
I’m really tired of being captive to my disability and my actions telling everyone “he’s self-involved” or “he doesn’t care about you”, when my family is the only thing that gives my life meaning. But it doesn’t show.
Haha of course. I’m surprised autism threads aren’t full of more people misunderstanding stuff.
Assuming that people ask questions only to attack can lead to a negative bias in conversations. It’s essential to recognize that someone seeking clarification may not intend hostility. 😊👍
That’s a great reminder for everyone!
I never trust AI. Or rather, trust but verify. In the case of a PDF I ask for section, page number, or quote. Always get the reference.
Ooo, I’m not so sure about that. It’s kind of a negative expectation that could guide the direction of your conversations without you realizing it.
It still happens with wife of 37 years.
I tried it and I really liked it!
I went, I REALLY liked it.
