That’s a great example, I was prompted by the Fluke Skywalker stuff going on, But there are plenty of times when people who are famous for something are found to fall short. Then you get this outpouring of grief and disappointment, It happens enough that people should know better really.
I hate that many people idolise other people.
It’s possible to like some of the work of somebody without idolising them and blindly listening to or following absolutely everything they do.

Tripped over my shoelace when I was 10, The kid behind me tripped on my feet and fell on me, Broke my collar bone, a rib in 2 places and a fracture to one vertibrae. I had to have an operation later as things didn’t heal right.
No problem, It was interesting to strip the car down and work out what had gone on. This was before the days when we all had cameras with us otherwise I would have lots of pics of the carnage.
When I owned my workshop I once had to replace the engine in an old Ford Fiesta that had this happen.
From what I could tell they went from 4th to 1st.
The damage started when the middle two pistons broke and allowed the conrods to separate from them pulling out the wrist pins as they did. Then the free floating conrods hammered the pistons into the head destroying the valves, rockers and pushrods too. After that the rods had bent enough to allow them to fall out of the cylinder and punch a hole in the back of the block, then the sump then parts of the rods exited through the front of the block, One of them destroyed the radiator as it left.
That is my rundown of the series of events from what I could work out at the time.
My own first name Mark, Firstly it is supposed to be spelled Marc as according to my mother I was named after Marc Bolan but they wrote it with a K on the birth certificate. Secondly it just doesn’t feel like it suits me, I have no idea what alternative I would pick though. Maybe I just don’t feel comfortable being called by my name no matter what it is :)
