  • Question: what stimulants have you tried? Is it possible to try something at a lower dosage, or an alternative stimulant? And what non-stimulants have you tried?

I’m a late diagnosis and have been titrating vyvanse for 3 months now (started at 20mg and moved up to 50mg). I’ve never taken Adderall but from my understanding, as it’s slow release, it should give a ‘smoother’ experience through the day. I ended up settling on 40mg as for me it’s the right balance of benefits vs. side effects. Possibly paradoxically, it’s lowered my resting heart rate - I assume this is as a result of not operating from a place of constant fear anymore.

Microdosing is something I’ve also had my eye on for a while, but until you can get medical grade, properly regulated tinctures, I wouldn’t risk touching it.

  • I’m just annoyed about the lack of consistency in what products do and do not support a dark mode, especially when other products in the same suite do.

I’m limited to using MS Office at work and love that Word, Outlook, OneNote and Drive all have dark themes and a quick toggle button to check accessibility/accommodate light-lovers if I’m screen sharing… But why was Excel left out ☹️? And a bunch of other apps, like Planner and Forms.

  • Not un/fair at all, I did completely miss that out of my comment because I just didn’t have the energy to talk about the impact of the Patriarchy and masculine beauty standards on men.

The image in question (now removed) pitted women’s very valid concerns about sexualisation/objectification of women in the media vs. hyper-masculine portrayals of men (mostly superheros) in the media as if they were parallel issues.

Many comments were woman pointing out that hyper-masculine bodies are glorified in these movies, usually not for women to objectify, but to provide a power fantasy for other men. Plus lots of talk trying to explain male gaze vs. female gaze.

Not for a moment denying the negative effects this has on men’s self-image. It hurts men, and that hurt is more often than not being inflicted by other men. Absolutely LOVE that men are starting to have the conversation, but it shouldn’t be framed as the fault of women.

  • Easy: leave all emails that might be important as unread. That way, you know they’re important because they’re unread. Continue to never read them until you’ve got over 400 unread emails in your inbox. Then just mass delete any more than a month old, because they can’t still be important or relevant. Continue to feel guilty and not read emails.

Absolutely flawless system for me so far.
