Ever had issues with FDroid getting stuck during updates, it would get stuck for me every day or 2 until I just uninstalled it. I don’t install apps enough to bother with it, so I figured I’d reinstall it when I eventually need it again.

I somehow never had come across any of them until I heard the theme song after a Flogging Molly concert, they used to play it every time when they exited it seemed. Second time I heard it I looked up where it was from.

I understand, there is a lot of animosity on Lemmy (not trying to compare to other platforms just recognizing it exists.). I think .world will keep getting hate but it likely will also keep growing due to other places having strong opinions that do not align with .worlds view. This one was me removing it because I posted something about modern games not working on emulators but it is in the retro games thread so I realized it was kind of a foolish place to state that “all” games don’t include most of the games people play these days.

Edit: was something like "The wording always annoys me because emulating any game from consoles excludes the PS5, Xbox X, and most AAA games created in the last 15 years unless you pay more than $30 to figure out a graphics card etc etc etc. {dumb thing to say in retro games

What email address did it come from, no links in it at all? I would assume phishing attempts that would be coming from a BS email that has a link to either go sign in or change your password which would send you to a site and then collect your entry, thereby gathering your actual sign in info.

That can be compiled into other data over time and eventually whoever purchases or collects it all with have a full set, or immediately have a full set when they try those credentials on other sites that may not have 2 factor set up.

This reminds me of the description of why field positions are listed under remote jobs to often. I tried Instacart (United States). It tells you exactly what you will get paid before you accept an order. If the tip was more you will see it. Basically if you order Tylenol and 5 other items it will say the Store Name, 6 items, Total payout. (And distance) When you arrive at the store you get a list of the items, and the isle number/shelf if it is available. You scan each item into the app for it to be accepted, if the item is not the same code, it will make you send a message or alternate possibility to the orderer. And they approve/deny.

Long story short. You 100% know what you are getting paid before starting so if 1 order for 6 items says you make 20 dollars, and another says you make 6 dollars. The 20 dollar order will be accepted first.
