Maybe you can explain to me why my chromecast connects to my speakers and headphones when it’s entirely powered off? Because I don’t have as positive a view of it as you do. Maybe it’s not as nefarious as I’m thinking it is?
I’m an Australian, I’m probs fking with you, we can’t help it, I think. Probably something to do with all the hostile shit around us and adapting to it, or something. All meant in good spirits! If you think we’re laughing at you, think about the stupid shit we just did to get that laugh.

Contribute to society, or do they really mean optimal funnelling of the profits from your labour up to the rich?
I’m doing a course for cyber security at my local tafe, and thier website only works on Chrome. Go. Figure.
They’re kinda telling on themselves, ‘no secrets’ what does watching an add have to do with secrets, unless they want you to have no secrets from them, and give you all a your data. Then that sentence makes sense. That sentence has some real twist / projection / gaslighty vibes. Why do corporations feel like my abusive ex.
You wanna check you don’t have secret people living in your attic…
It’s still the same problem, though. Your workplace should be acutely aware humans become unwell. And plan sufficiently. I think that guilt is a relied on in any workplace, it’s going to feel very much more dire in yours. I feel for you. In a perfect world, there would be enough staff that staying home sick, wouldn’t matter. They could take previous years data and project how much coverage they need, and employ more (that’s ignoring shortages, but that’s another story to unpack). Or job share with someone, half the work, same amount of pay, holidays and sick days now don’t matter, take them when you want. No workplaces need to be like this, even the shortage of available staff is a fixable thing, it just lowers profit and puts the balance and focus back on enjoyment of life. Money is the root of all evil.
I really want to be able to read this and know wtf it means. I have so much skill to up.
Oh! Someone pronounced his name wrong! Bad form, on them.
Same has been said regarding the way we feel towards parents. I dunno tho. I think I Kindly disagree with both sentiments.
Question: did anyone notice, In TNG, anyone say “data” referring to information, but with the different pronunciation to “Data”, in the show? Why did I not think to look out for this till now!
So much evil. Just so much. And it’s expanding, exponentially. Where are the evil levels going to measure at, in another 15 years. I’m too old (cbf learning) to make a meme, but I see lilo and stitch, but over stitches face is all currently existing corporations, and that drawing of the bad levels she drew.
Or it was their favourite movie to fall asleep to…
Came across the same issue when I set up my dads new bedroom telly for him, I bodged it up with a plank on top of the dresser it was sitting on.
Yeah, like Punching down, when you feel oppressed, you find a target to feel like you are better than, to aim your hatred. Unhappy people who feel trapped, under capitalism, finding a way to see the grass is greener on their side of the fence. Shit way to cope, and understanding it doesn’t mean it’s in any way excusable, only that understanding why, is the first step, if we want to question and turn these people back to the light.
I think you’re exactly right and I think it’s by purposeful design all that hate riling thats going on, to try to distract people so they don’t aim thier hate where you do, because if we all do that, the system changes and the small group of people holding all the money, have to give it back so the rest of us can have basic needs. I think it’s them generating the hate, so people don’t notice the entire problem is them. I could never hurt someone, really, but if I got superpowers, I’d take that trauma on, I know where I’d go first. And it would be bloody. I might even say something like your money or your life, and go all robin hood. But I don’t see superpowers really happening, for me. It’s a nice thought, being able to have our freedom and free everyone else under the purposeful oppression that is capitalism and that capitalism has to generate to survive.
It’s a machine designed by capitalism to make more money, not necessarily be effective. If it was effective at its job, it would make no money. I would love to see smarter people than me, make some good algorithm style dating match app, that just helps people find like people.
To give you a slight perspective on the multiple / hundreds of messages a day, imagine they’re 90% sleezoids and only 10% are probably decent men, getting flooded with heaps of messages then makes it the tiresome task of finding a needle in a haystack, exhausting work. I would argue that getting more messages isn’t a better place to be. If I had to choose, I wouldn’t choose that option.
Don’t get bitter, take the time to well round yourself, build yourself up a better version, that’s wisdom, anyway, and you’ll be happier inside a levelled up version of yourself, either way. And be patient with the women wading through the mud trying to get to you.
That’s a hilarious thought. The good ol scientists at Samsung, we could just use gravity and design the front to lift up a little, or we could add ridiculously machinery with the power to remove a limb. But they all agree gravity doesn’t tick the box of new technology, therefore they have to go with the latter option.
$50 bucks says they didn’t even think of that.
To give a brief run of what stuck in my head, reading about it. Essentially the common day beliefs were projected when examining the past findings, so when they found a man buried with an arrow head = hunter. A woman buried with an arrow… Not. They found women hunted differently, in packs and with dogs. And now thought to be just as frequently, if not, possibly, more frequently than men.
Like how you turn off your TV, and it will still respond to the remote the next time you press the power button and turn it on. It’s literally exactly the same thing. It has a power button, it’s Bluetooth controlled (so is my telly and the telly remote) but when in power off, same as you would power off a playstation or computer (but that’s a hard press button, not a remote) the headphones or speakers you Bluetooth connect, connect to it. I would assume it’s the Bluetooth connectivity, is receptive to everything, but it’s just sus because it’s Google and it essentially always therefore has its ears open, because everything that connects to it has a microphone. Even its own remote.
