+1 being happy on Endeavour OS for a year of two now.

Done more than the user just spreading hatred
Myself, because I’m stupid with coding.
Thank you!
I am out of the loop, what’s going in with snooping?
I use their cloudflared tunnel sometimes for accessing home hosted stuff.
Absolutely amazing. Been daily driving with Arch and its such a breeze to roll back in case of problems.
Nice try Microsoft employee.
That’s our hated TAA for you. It’s always on. And its especially bad in this title unfortunately. As talos1 was really great and I asked for talos2 to the devs for not forced TAA.
Rather have jaggies than being blurred out.
Advantage, not better in terms of quality as OP asked.
Should be the same, the fact remains that Nvidia’s implementation using the hardware on-board of the GPU is having an advantage. To what degree, I wouldn’t know specifically, but doubt quality changes because of that.
I find it odd that people say “No, Nvidia is better” because clearly it’s the same technique, only the hardware said on-board of each vendor GPUs might differ in how they handle that workload.
Personally, I think Raytracing is cool, but it’s still too early for GPUs to handle efficiently + costly and isn’t any factor for me buying any vendor/game. Nor do I care much about it.
Agreed. Lifesaver tool many times as a average Linux nerd for about 2-3 years now.
Not a developer myself; what benefits does that give me? I know it’s repeatable on different hardware or equal across machines, but wat else would be a win to pick Nix? Immutable so its a pretty static experience?
Btrfs snapshots and auto snapshots is kind of the same?
How about not having these arbitrary not needed restrictions in the first place? This is just the usual scummy behavior from this company.
Just more in the neighborhood of being used or understanding something because it has been given to them from a very young age on. So getting familiar and used to it very young age on makes it “friendly” even though it is more “familiarity”.
Linux is always going to be really awkward at first but over the course of time you learn and shy away and develop your own kinda workflow and that’s the beauty of it in my opinion.
Stability is really good. No real big issues overtime, running BTRFS and Timeshift. There are some minor problems here and there but more to do with KDE or Arch being Arch I suppose, nothing that stopped me from having a non-functional system.
Not sure what you expect in terms of “support for gaming”, It’s Arch-based so mostly you’re on your own to do that, not from the distro focus itself but everything has worked so far for me.
I don’t often use the AUR, most packages come from flatpak if I can or the extra repo from Arch/Endeavour which is trustee packages by default. I added the CHAOTIC AUR to get binaries instead to get faster updates but didn’t replace all my packages with them from there.
