Throw in some knob creek and I’m fucking sold
I’ve been saying for years that the market exists for an R-rated movie about Vader hunting Jedi, but Disney doesn’t have the balls for it.
Whenever I see people bemoaning the system, (which I agree is fucked, overall) I always wonder if they’ve bothered to write/call/harass legislators? Because it’s sometimes surprising how much an angry person can accomplish when they decide to be a problem.
I set up targeted harassment of state legislators on reddit and twitter and managed to get weed legalized after it died in committee in the preceding five years.
Any tips for eliminating the stutter, or increasing the smoothness of the emulation? I’ve got an i7-12700k, 4090, and 64GB of ram and it seems to struggle a bit.

I tried to replay GoldenEye on switch and just couldn’t. The control scheme is just too dated and I can’t get past it.
Slowly making progress in Dave the Diver, which is quite entertaining. Also working on Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader.
Also collaboratively playing The Sims 4 with my wife, and I’d forgotten how fun that could be.
The thirteenth was Mary Magdalene but we can’t have a woman disciple.
New Year’s Festival. Mandatory day off for everyone except emergency services
It definitely sucks. The difference in quality between the pine boards my dad purchased at the hardware store for projects when I was a child, vs the pine boards available now when I get some for a project is NUTS. The number of rings visible on the end has dropped from a dozen or more to a mere handful, they’re way less dense than they used to be.
I fucking HATE buying lumber because it’s an all day ordeal to sort through the stack of boards to find a dozen that aren’t warped, crooked, knotted, rough edged, or missing a corner because it came from the very edge of the log. I almost wish they’d leave an open space next to the stack so I could stick all the trash boards there as I go through them, because only one out of every ten to fifteen is actually usable for anything where precision or appearance matters.
Or you can choose to pay a premium over the already absurd (but appropriate, considering the factors you mentioned) for “Select” grade boards. It’s legitimately difficult to build any kind of furniture type project under what it would cost to buy from a company producing the same thing using an economy-at-scale advantage.
I mean…it helps that the Switch launched out of cycle with Xbox and PlayStation, and also was $100+ cheaper than the others. Not to mention the advantage of it being portable. Which means someone in the household can play it without eating up a screen, or it can be brought on travel. Mine is indispensable on work trips. It also supports a variety of excellent local multiplayer games - which at least in my house, gets a shit load of use. Smash, Mariokart, Mario party, etc. are on constant rotation.
The PS5 digital is $400. The Xbox series X is $500. The Xbox series S which arguably does something similar to the switch, dropping the insistence on the highest graphical quality, is the only one in either this generation or the previous which compares in price, at $300. (Granted this is actually cheaper than the OLED Switch model, which is at $350).
I desperately wish Nintendo would release their IP on PC, but it’ll be a cold day in hell before that happens.
Slowly working my way through Tunic, but which is a pretty satisfying little Zelda-like game.
When there’s no refunds in x period but no penalty to reschedule, so you reschedule and then cancel.
This is what happens when the population integrates politics into their individual identities.
Our government has just become the largest, most expensive game of football and there are only two teams.
I’d highly recommend Patrick’s Parabox. It’s an incredible little puzzle game that revolves around paradoxical movements of pieces in each puzzle. I don’t know how to adequately describe it, but it was incredibly unique.
I never managed to beat this but it has by far the highest play time of any mobile game for me.
I actually have a SATA cable and power plug discreetly tucked in a spot in my PC case and have just taken the side off and plugged in a drive on occasion. It’s normal purpose is troubleshooting other hard drives, but it works for that too
