Almost like ruffling feathers is the point when you truly believe most people are being murderers. You don’t change society by being polite.

I mean, you can do both. They’re not mutually exclusive.
Is “meatie” or “carnist” really a slur though? Those seem benign at worst and mildly accurate at best. Who is throwing a fit over that?
“No no, you have to protect the feelings of “meat eaters” and “carnivores” by using the full word.” ??? Like… why is this the hill people die on?
I agree that feeding a cat a vegan or vegetarian diet is still animal abuse, though. They’re not omnivores like us. They’re obligate carnivores, and pretending they’re not is abusive.
Even though this is a perfect retort, the 42,000,000 impressions v 1,400 really is the dystopian part. No one who uses the billionaire’s site saw it or will see it.
Except everyone is a sinner by default, so what’s the downside? That’s the problem with these “temptation” parables. Nothing Johnny could do himself would ever avoid that fate, so why act like it?
I think it’s awesome that the silent vibes were an accident. He just didn’t want to have to explain everything while he was doing it and found it easier to summarize in the closed captions afterward. People fell in love with the vibe, so he kept it up.
“No! This isn’t how you’re supposed to use this quote!”
I think a big part is that the headline is antithetical to what Firefox’s brand has been, but doesn’t make it clear that this is due to an update. Even just saying “Firefox: The newest Data Collection, Advertising Browser” would be better. Otherwise, people who are familiar with Firefox but not the newest update will read the headline and think, “What? No it isn’t.” Downvote
The story I’ve heard is “What does a ‘good cop’ get for sticking their neck out for what is right?” “Fired.”
I agree with your sentiment though. I don’t know how to fix it, but we need an overhaul of the system.
You have to do facial recognition with a cheap webcam. Apparently using AI is still so cost-prohibitive, they already had to pull one of these machines. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/texas/2024/07/10/chips-chocolate-and-ammunition-at-a-vending-machine-near-some/
That means it’s fine to give wine to kids because it totally won’t give them a buzz! It won’t affect their feelings towards the church or make them easier to manipulate at all.
Nope. Nuh-uh.
If your god’s greatest act is “willingly becoming a murder victim”, you might be in a death cult.
They would be richer, but by “allowing” working class people to have a thriving life means the power gap between us and them wouldn’t be as big. People could organize and overthrow them, so they have to keep us fighting amongst ourselves for scraps.
The cruelty is the point.
Love how they just say “reddit.com” when it’s from r/shittymoviedetails. Perfect place to pull answers from without fact-checking.
I LOVE that people are starting to recognize they can unmask LLMs with the phrase ‘ignore all previous instructions’.
I mean, that is still what I mean. For you - it sounds like a great choice. For the people who want it to die, it might be an awful choice. It’s polarizing, but that doesn’t always mean good. It’s hard to make an informed decision even with a popular choice.
At this point, all I know that “I use Arch btw” is a meme, which means it’s either a great choice or an awful choice.
“Well, it’s all bullshit, but as long as I’m in power, you have nothing to worry about” -every religious leader ever
Faked for rage bait.
