Hello fellow ADHD adult! I’ve heard the advice about using the double medium before but never given it a shot. Honestly it would probably work great, but I’ve just never committed to it.

With children’s books most of the page count will be in illustrations. You’ll go through them very quickly.
I’m always jealous of people who can listen to podcasts or audiobooks. I genuinely can’t listen to them and do something else at the same time so I have to sit twiddling my thumbs the entire time and get antsy. If I try listen and maybe do the dishes or something, I’ll blink and have no idea what’s been said for the past 15 minutes and have to go back anyway. It kind of sucks.
Yeah that’s definitely where that amount is coming from if it’s been well over a decade. Books are actually really fricken expensive!
Yeah she easily reads into the 200+ range which is about the same pace as you. A lot her non-work related books end up being audiobooks though. I personally need to feel paper in my hands or I have trouble focusing, but I also almost exclusively read high fantasy for fiction and philosophy for non-fiction. I’m lucky to finish half a dozen books a year on a good year!
My partner is in the Lit world and you drastically underestimate how much some people can read. If they are an avid reader and a long-standing member I can see it. Especially If they’re using the retail price to calculate that it adds up quick. hardcovers can easily be $40-60.
He might be legally pseudo protected by twitch having minimum age requirements.
Unless it was a few very specific US states, this isn’t really relevant. The minimum age to sign up for an account on Twitch is 13.
For anyone that’s curious but doesn’t want to click on an ad-riddled IGN link - it’s FF 6. No they really don’t elaborate why, the best idea of ‘why’ you get is that it was the last game with pixel art.
I agree, it shouldn’t feel like that. As someone who is bi and queer though, on top of all the normal trials and tribulations of dating there’s also a long list of people who don’t think I have the right to exist. I’d rather find out they’re a hate filled asshole as soon as possible so I can move on with my life. At this stage I won’t meet someone face to face unless we’ve chatted extensively online already. Even though I’m dooming hard I do still hope you find someone 😊
It’s really exhausting to the point that first dates feel like I’m interviewing them.
If it’s a first date, you are interviewing them. I’m sorry it feels exhausting for you though.
Rimworld, Against the Storm, Dwarf Fortress, and other similar games.
Any game where there is no clear end and continuous engagement and problems to solve is dangerous for me.
I was specifically asking how Deadlock felt.
I’ve played quite a bit of MOBA’s before, coincidentally the other big third person ones Smite and Paragon, so I’ve got a decent feel for builds and macroplay and I’m not necessarily worried about those aspects.
I grew up as a console gamer but exclusively play on PC now so I’ve found for fps games I have trouble competing because my aim isn’t as great.
I really wanted battleborn to succeed on release even though it was just kind of flawed from a design standpoint. I kind of gave up on competitive fps games since then though.
With how chaotic the fights look like and how high the ttk looks to be, is the game still fun at lower-mid skill levels?
Okay wow. This was really uncalled for. What did I ever do to you?
I’m not even going to bother reading what you wrote.
Not every question is directed personally at you.
If you literally just use your preferential search engine you will find that the top result gives you the answer you seek to who the person OP is referring to. Just because you do not know someone does not mean that they don’t meet a specific magic threshold that needs to be met in order for someone to ask questions.
I’m a new Steamdeck owner so I just wanted to get used to the console honestly. I have Moguri installed on PC, but I have a hard time playing jrpgs on anything but handhelds nowadays.
I know there are tutorials, but at this point I’d mostly be worried that it’s not compatible with an existing save. I don’t want to redo all the Choco Hot and Cold 😂
Damn. I just finished the first disk on a playthrough on Steam deck with the base remaster. I had seriously considered modding it at first but didn’t and now I regret it 🥲
We’ve got swallows that do this where we live. As I’m making this comment I can hear my cat faceplanting into the window to attack them in the other room.
Hahahah yeeeah. I’m technically a slow reader too, but it’s more because I have to keep rereading paragraphs when I stop paying attention, so I’d be more like you probably.
My gf is a completely different brand of neurospicy and she just could not grasp that not only do I have to read the words but I have to actively make sure my brain is trying to comprehend them too or I just go on autopilot.
