The one caveat to building is if you build a PC and a single component is faulty, you are now responsible for determining which component is to get the RMA done. That can be a big hassle. One time for me it was actually two different components that needed to be replaced by the manufacturers, and that was a pain to figure out.
I have about 24TB, lots of stuff backed up over many years, and not all of it pirated. In making backups over such a long period of time, I’ve actually managed to make redundant backups, so a recent project of mine is to just go to my NAS and organize, consolidate, and otherwise delete things I don’t actually wish to keep. I’ve saved a couple TBs and I hope to free up a few more TBs.
Due to this it also means that ripping 4K and Blu-ray discs also are breaking a DRM which means you are legally not allowed to make a digital copy of movies that you own. Which directly contradicts the intent of these laws.

I’m no lawyer, but it seems to me when it comes to legal cases you want as many facts stacked in your favor as possible, and as few facts stacked against your favor as is possible. Because at the end of the day some jury or judge will decide one way or another, based on facts and prejudices.
It was bewildering to me in the moment that when TOTK was leaked that they didn’t restrict themselves from working on the emu to handle TOTK. It was some nod and wink “breath of the wild” improvements coming in all of a sudden.

The dumbest part is how we are disallowed from reusing many things. One small example out of a limitless number: Every time I buy milk I have to buy a brand new plastic container, because that is the only way I can purchase it. And it is the exact same as the old kind of plastic container. I can’t just go to the store and pour a refill and pay for that.
When I said violence I don’t mean against the robots (which you can damage but not commit violence against). It’s just a computer on wheels. I meant that labor reform will involve violence between people in the labor class and the capital class. Our American history is full of examples of exactly this kind of thing happening between a protest labor movement and its countervailing force.

I am in agreement with you, but the problem is the work reform part is not forthcoming. The delivery robots didn’t come with a helping of any kind of labor reform, whatsoever, and will not come with one either without some kind of violence to usher in the deal. The capitalist class would not allow it to happen any other way.
I’d be happy enough with a Smart Fortwo style vehicle. I’d be more than happy with good public transportation and non-car dominated urban planning. I’d be over the moon for high speed rail lines covering the country.

Unfortunately as more and more people got online it became more and more ripe for abuse. I can’t imagine Wikipedia not getting horrible defaced if its editorial standards were still in 2006. Old Wikipedia had some weird shit. Not every mid-level WW2 Nazi commander needed a page of thinly-veiled apologia, and thankfully many of those excesses are already dealt with. Also, the articles in general are of a higher quality than they used to be.
I hope they can work out a solution that allows trusted junior editors to become admins more easily.
It is something of a controversy to just be unaware that something can be done.
